I keep saying this but we should have won. Spurned to many chances, again. Their keeper got man of the match which tells you all you need to know. We need to pick up 3 points and I dont see where we are going to do that

We weren't great and defensive additions are desperately needed but we werent helped by a referee who was a complete homer and misses a stonewall penalty when Lewis Walker was wiped out by the Dover keeper just before half time (apparently he was laughing about how he wasnt sent off after the game, which sums it up really).

How’s Craig Tanner getting on?

Yes , certain miss that penalty , and red card , but he was miles behind play, but overall a comfortable 2-0 win. with a superb second goal, from our full back , who collected the ball in his own half and ran into the box with a super finish , total respect to Walker who received a wonderful warm reception from the Dover faithful

Barrow are actually going to win the league arent they. I cant actually believe it. Absolutely bang average group of journey men. Shows how bad the league is this year

I actually can't believe we won against that lot who have been on fire recently. It's so unlike us.

You'll be flying once he's got his style of play implemented and brought his own players in

Easily the most complete performance since he's been here, fans love him.

Is there any year when a ‘bang average group of journey men’ don’t win the fucking fifth division?

Our form against teams near the bottom really is a worry. On the plus side if we make the play-offs our record against the teams around us is brilliant, but you’ve got to win some other games to actually get there.

I think we've fallen into the same trap we did in November when we started to play over cautiously. We've started defending the run rather than trying to win the game.

I'm starting to think they actually will, no sign of the usual slippage. They'll probably win it with a low points total too.

If Barrow go unbeaten at Boreham Wood and Solihull this week I can't see anyone getting near them to be honest. A strong Solihull side were pumped 6-0 by half time at Tamworth in the week, so Wood have the better bet of getting a result on Saturday. Hopefully, someone won't pull a 'Corey Whitely' and gift them the points. I'd expect Harrogate, Notts and Halifax to win comfortably too.

With 8 mins to go Kabongo Tshimanga missed an open goal that made Whitely's miss look like a very near miss.....

Evatt has done an unbelievable job.
No wonder we went all out to get him, he shook hands for the job and then signed a new contract for them. Surely a football league club is going to come in for him

Looking ahead to the Tuesday fixtures, this is one of our two games in hand. There is some speculation on our forum that Solihull are a team in disarray, with their star players wanting to leave and Flowers on the brink of getting the boot - which means we'll probably get beaten.

Brilliant. Looks like a proper footballer in our dogs arse of a squad. The fitter he gets the better he gets and we insist on him playing wide, with the rest of this season left to get back to full fitness will easily play in at least L2 next year and maybe a L1 club will take a punt.

He was a good little player here for us, no offence but I was surprised a league club didn’t take a punt when he left Motherwell!

That’s some serious bait for Chipmunx to mull over there.

If Barra win Tuesday and go 7 points clear with a game in hand I'm sold and we have our champs.

Just gotta fend off Carlisle and their 10k bids for your players.

Shocked at that scoreline.
D&R are the worst team I've seen for a long long time.

I won't bore you with history but we have a habit of losing to Dagenham, including a 5-0 defeat. Not surprised by yesterday just dissappointing not to continue decent form.

Although I don't want to lose a northern team,I'd be more than happy for Barrow to sing the league.
Play the game the right way & no diving left right & centre like a lot if teams in this league.

Not sure I could ever be that confident unless it was mathematically confirmed, but yesterday's results were a big step forward. Our goal difference is almost like an extra point too.

D&R are the worst team I've seen for a long long time.

Puzzles me how some football fans still can't comprehend how one poor performance isn't necessarily how a side performs every week.

Since we played you, we've sacked our manager, banished Quigley to the reserves and had 5 different players in the starting lineup on Saturday from the lineup that played you (1-2 back from injury, 1-2 new signings and 1 back from a stupid Taylor loan). We've still got Balanta and Phipps to come back in the next week (arguably two of our most important players).

We'll be fine. Despite everybody knowing that Taylor was a spent force as a manager, we were actually joint 4th in the league before we got a ridiculous number of injuries. I'm sure we'd have dropped off a bit and finished 8th-12th had he remained but we're in a bit of a false position in my opinion. If we go down, we'll only have ourselves to blame but I think the new manager and the players that are now back available should ensure that we're alright.

Too big a gamble after 22 months out I suppose. Only the desperate would take that gamble.

2 Goals was a miracle, both defenders,if only we had a centre forward we'd piss this tinpot league etc

had a laugh at this on their forum
Makes me cringe whenever I read a 'we should be beating' type of comment. For some reason forums bring the worst out of some people

We still get those quite a lot. It's as if people haven't been paying attention whilst we've been down here for a billion years getting beaten by all and sundry.

You wonder quite how Wrexham are ever going to stir themselves back into the football league

Take note Notts County
