Been a good match against Wrexham since we’ve been up here. You’ve not enjoyed your trips to our place and we’ve got no change out of our visits to you either.
Games have been good though.
Just hope we set up how this team was built and we could finally get a point to take home. Be very, very surprised if we get more.
Last season at your place was the worst experience I've ever had at a match. Witnessing crap football and getting soaked through on the open end.

I'm still coming back this season.

You’ve got to respect the Chesterfield fans and their stoic refusal to show a flicker of emotion. Even with all this flagrant provocation from the forum weirdos, they’re not offering so much as a nibble. Bravo.

Anyway, back to my day job: “GIVE ME AN ‘S’! GIVE ME AN ‘OUP’! GIVE ME A LARGE SPOON....!”

Obviously you're quite a sensitive soul. It is just banter but never mind, each to their own.
It's strange banter to call people 'dull' man, but I'll leave it with you.

On topic, it will be a good test on Saturday. Barnet will be looking to turn around their bad start and we are on a definite downward curve after a decent start. Fingers crossed we can keep our home form going but honestly I wouldn't be surprised with any result. Charlie Carter will be a big miss

I'm expecting Chesterfield to stuff Barnet - anything other than a win and there will be a meltdown of sorts - but i can't see it. Yes Chesterfield have lost 2 on the bounce - but 2 they were always going to struggle in. Barrow away as a lot of fans have pointed out is usually (apart from last season) a tough place to come to - and adding the Evo factor Chesterfield were up against it. And Salford are slowly getting used to the league and with the class of players they've signed should be beating most teams soon.
The only worry I have for Chesterfield is pace at the back - Barrow ripped them apart at times

That's exactly how I pictured him as it goes. Maybe more underarm hair, but pretty close

I for one and loving the references to us beating or causing Chesterfield any problems. We’re going to get BRUTALLY RINSED all game.

Also, for the most part the Chesterfield fans did start the season being awfully dismissive of this division. Most of that was down to that Lester fellow though to be fair.

Repeat of last season’s national league ELIMINATOR tomorrow at Ebbsfleet. Something needs to click for us but get the feeling Ebbsfleet will be too good. 2-0 with Kedwell to get both.

Nicky Clee is the best player in non-league history.
Or was it Yaser Kasim? That's got be the best one. Regarded as the best player to ever play at National League level without having played at the level before.

Chesterfield 11/10 to beat Barnet. Who would like to give me some money to put on that?
bookies still look like their in early season guessing mode for this league
That's actually incredible value - just lumped £20 on that and included it in my accy.

For what it's worth I don't really get all the Chesterfield hate on here, they were in a very similar situation to Pools and Orient recently - relegated largely due to terrible off field problems, and I've found the Spireite posters on here to be a broadly polite, if quiet, bunch.

Absolutely no idea how we will get on tomorrow, only one of our three wins has been convincing so far.

Didn't go to Barrow so can't comment but I thought we did enough away at Salford to deserve a point.

That being said, we need to get back to winning ways before fans start to turn from the current optimism surrounding the club. I like to think Martin Allen has assembled a team to get us out of this division, but we don't half look like a team of cloggers at times.

Great, we'll be treated to 2 hours of BT sport mixing our names up tomorrow. It's worth going along just so I don't have to hear it.

Can't see past a home win tomorrow which could potentially put us rock bottom :surr:

An improved performance would be most welcome, regardless the result, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we took a bit of a tonking.

And I wouldn't read anything into the last game of last season. Chesterfield gave up after about an hour, having almost taken the lead and caused us problems at 0-0.

Our season will (hopefully) start on Monday when we host Dagenham for what will be a huge game for Still.

Why on earth is Maidenhead vs Maidstone on telly, are they trying to turn people away from watching national league football? Surely Chesterfield vs Barnet or Ebbsfleet vs Aldershot, or pretty much any other fixture would be preferable?

Having seen Aldershot play this season (and I saw the good performance apparently) no one should be subject to having to watch Ebbsfleet Aldershot as a neutral.

Really need to win both this weekend to kick start our season, got a hard run of fixtures coming up which follows us throwing points away against a load of crap teams. If they’re crap what are we :surr: 7 without a win don’t bare thinking about.
