He'll be on more whack at Fylde than most L2 sides can pay
Best player in the Conference, by a mile, but there's one reason and one reason ONLY why he chooses to squander his gifts and his career at Flyde. Yes, you've guessed it, it's our old friend: :£:£:£, again.

Quite enjoy it down here to be honest mate, new grounds, freindly supporters and decent prices. Wanna go up but another season wouldnt bother me that much
I completely agree.

Was gutted when we came down, but we've been in L1&L2 my entire life, I don't need to go to Walsall or Peterborough yet again, really enjoying the new grounds (apart from the plastic ones).

Can’t share that sentiment!

Any novelty of this league wore off with the Wembley defeat and with our academy in financial jeopardy if we don’t go up, it’s imperative we do.

Cool, you lend us Cook for the rest of the season and forfeit your promotion attempt this year, and we'll send Danny Whitaker over next season to give motivational speeches and midfield master-classes to your lot.

We're the same but going to Walsall and Peterborough is a luxury compared to down here.

There's nothing to enjoy here, let's be honest. I think you can only enjoy it when you have a stable club, re-building itself and you're hammering the tinpot crap, up there in the top 5 or so, winning games for a change. From a Pools perspective, we haven't managed to do that and we're in financial ruin and I can't see us returning any time soon if at all. The football was bad in L2 but here, I can only recall Dagenham looking a good side and maybe Tranmere second half at home, were alright. The rest, no offence and we're included in this....dogshite!

Aye friendly fans they are, but whatever, I'd rather go to fucking Stevenage in the football league and be threatened sexual assault with a plasticy hotdog than go to Ebbsfleet and get told by people that they're just delighted to be playing us.

Agree to disagree. I'm all for making the best of a bad situation and right now we're practically selling out most of our away ticket allocations, and it looks like we've turned a corner results-wise.

I don't actually see any real difference in the quality of the football from L2 to here, apart from maybe in the quality of the finishing, but even that is very marginal.

The worst thing is some of the away support at our home games has been embarrassing, having double figure numbers of away supporters really kills the atmosphere.

I wouldn't want to stay here forever, but I wouldn't mind another season or two. That said, I wouldn't rule out a late play-off push from the Os, we may be in 18th, but we're only 10 points off 7th place, plenty of matches to go as well.

General standard is similar but the quality at both ends of the park is the key difference. Defenders here have the physique, can do the basics, but are easily turned and slow to react. L2 defences are better organised with better individuals (and usually fitter). Same as up top, NL forwards can get into space but the finishing is woeful. More clinical in L2.

You seem well followed down south but what are your numbers up north? Glad you're enjoying it and turning a corner. We're not and I'm not.

That's the irony of wanting promotion. We'd lose Chester and Wrexham derbies (assuming they stayed down) and a host of other decent localish games, and gain... well, not a lot really. League 2 isn't really that enticing. I'm not sure I'd be happy until we've made it back to league 1, if it ever happens at all!

Wrexham's manager described the incident at 9:09 as a "gouging"...

Definitely flicks his hand out for no reason and there was previous in the game, could easily have been an attempt to sort of rake his fingers down Pearson's face. Sounds like we've reported it which is something I never remember us doing, something has definitely gone on there. If that's the best footage available then nothing is going to be done as it's too unclear.

I'm going to have to disagree, I'm afraid. Just a normal jump for the ball and happens in every game.

Plus, Yussuf had just come on, so nothing previous had taken place that he'd had anything to do with.

‘Turning a corner’ has meant ‘no longer looking like relegation certainties by fouling a lot and shithousing games’. Though that in itself is entirely preferable to the past 3 1/2 seasons.

I think I’m right in saying that we’ve only had two northern games so far (our first 11 all took place within the M25, which was novel), plus the long haul to Torquay. 316 in Devon, 290 at Barrow and an anomaly (150-odd) midweek at Tranmere because BT Sport moved the game. We’ll have 4-500 at the Yorkshire games and fuck-all at yours.

At least away days in League Two offer some geographical diversity rather than half of the division being seemingly a trip into or around the M25
Hoping for a Chesterfield and Morecambe relegation pairing with Orient and Aldershot going the other way. But knowing our luck will probably see Tranmere and Macclesfield go up and Barnet and Crawley come down :bg:

Wouldn’t quite say Woking was within the M25.

Trust me even that gets boring after a few years of play off failures, and you end up getting to the point of desperation to get out. (Makes it taste sweeter when you do finally escape it though).

Amusing to see ex-FL clubs debating the pros and cons of the National League. This is the grave yard. A place for rotting corpses, not resurrection, with a few part timers enjoying their weekly cup finals. Might as well accept your fate and get used to seeing life through a very dark filter.

Bloody hell, cheer up! You'd never guess your side conceded a 93rd minute equaliser today...
