What did Guiseley do? Been meaning to ask that for ages now. Just been liking all mentions of this so that I don't get exposed as a fraud.

They scored from a throw in against Cowley’s Braintree side after it had been kicked out for an ‘injury’, I believe, then refused to let Braintree ‘walk in’ a goal.

Cowley claimed afterwards it was the ‘worst thing he’d ever seen in football’ and he had been ‘inundated with support from across the football world’.

Wrexham will never forget Aldershot and groundsman slaphead for WHAT THEY DID.

All joking aside though, there's new filtering through that Wrexham's first goal was yet another free-flowing TEAM goal.

I understand the Welch psyche, I spent 15 years playing rugby for Bridgend so know how they’re only really happy when they’re losing and got something to moan about. Plus my father in law is a Welchman so I what we’re up against. Even he says the lot from North Wales are a bit odd.

Today only happened because of the sheer amount of water that fell on the pitch in such a short time, nothing to do with the quality of the pitch, which is still the state of the art fibresand pitch Chelsea put down a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, sometimes these things happen and we can’t odds the weather gods. You wouldn’t have been whining if you’d showed your usual form at our place and been 2-0 down.
There was only one game in the whole of the top 6 tiers England that was called off because of the rain. It's tinpot.

Also, if we were 2-0 down I'm sure you'd have made more of an effort to get the game back on.

I think it's fair to say that Aldershot are pure scum and deserve to be relegated. We will never forget WHAT THEY DID.

Now let's move on.

The one time this season we actually play a crap team and on our way to smashing them and it's called off. Wrexham that.

Sorry but us and Dover have got two of those spots. Will have to ask Barnet to step aside

I’ve been there moaning about teams not making an effort to get games on and pretty much all of those times I’ve been completely wrong (Mansfield away when they were on bad form the exception). I’m not sure what you expected them to do when it was still forecast to rain during the game.

One things for sure, Aldershot players wouldn’t have been mopping it down with a towel if they were 2-0 up

Unfortunately given your anti-Wrexham bias we cannot accept your opinions.

Personally I think it was probably the right call, its just frustrating. And the fact two players were injured in the process for nothing makes it even more galling.

And Aldershot fans cheering the abandonment is a bit tinpot

What they actually DID should never be repeated or discussed in detail. A despicable act.
I know nothing about this, I have no idea what it was they did, but I'm sure it was absolutely disgusting whatever it was. Kill 'em all and let God sort them out, I say. :bdick:

No, they wouldn't, because the Aldershot groundsmen who actually know what they're doing would be on there doing stuff that actually helped in getting the water off the pitch. Despite the high wages, our footballers aren't drilled in groundsman duties when they sign here.

For what it's worth, I'm not convinced that even with a bit of effort from their end the game would've gone back on. The rain was certainly a factor, but as the game was the only one in the top 6 tiers England to be called off I don't accept that the rain was wholly to blame. More or less Aldershot's dodgy drainage.

Terrible, although if it had been Cowley at Lincoln and Matt Rhead was playing I would have said fair enough from Guiseley

Stockport County.
40 FA Cup ties were completed yesterday up and down the country from steps 6 and much lower.

Only game off all day was Aldershot.

I stand with my Wrexham brothers.

Yeah, yeah, let’s move on, we can rise above this. However, scum floats on top, remember.

In our defence, its the first time in 8 home games we haven't lost. We don't have much to cheer at the moment so let us have it.

You'll get your 3 points later in the season, don't worry!

Why are these blokes stood filming a TV?
Think they work in the bar at the ground that shows the game on TV, this daft rule about not having highlights on Monday has meant fans are recording it instead

I see Altrincham Phil Parkinson was named manager of the week by the Non League Paper, who marked the award by using a photo of Wrexham Phil Parkinson. Trolling or standard incompetence / tinpottery?
Ah! Very clever. 80s Robin, Robin Day. #NiceOne :woot:
