Southend will stay up, but only just. They remind me so much of us when we first came down, absolute carbon copy.

Hope they get out of it sooner rather than later

They are scraping games by the odd goal and have a tiny squad. From what i saw last Saturday, they are not a good team.

They won't finish in top 5.
Isn't that what sides that get promoted do. Turn a lot of 0-0's into marginal wins

We're 5pts off having thrown 12 pts away from winning positions already this season. Without looking convincing title challengers at any time this season we've got more points than at this stage in the last two seasons.

After looking completely hopeless during the first half Aldershot have pulled it back to 1-1 and look like a different team

You let em! I even saw a 94th equaliser that I cheered in, was it ruled out for something?
Nah that was nothing. My Fotmob flashed up with that after the final whistle on the commentary despite nothing of note happening. Has happened a few times in our games this season.

To a degree, yes but at some point those margins will go the other way.

There are some good teams in this league, certainly ones that are better than BW and that will play out over the course of a 44 game season.

Ooooooooooh last minute winners in front of the away end, don’t you just love em?????!!!!!

Utter shit first half, bit better second, but defended great. Grimsby looked like a side with some of their best players out.

Gutted by Agogo's lack of discipline, we were on for a strong chance of a point until then. An improvement, but we need points double quick.

Looks like it's between us, Aldershot and KL for the 2 spots

We're going down with Dover and Kings Lynn

Southend will find their way out eventually

I can’t actually see where our next point is going to come from. We’re so short of confidence and quality, and so easy to play against. Don’t really know where we go from here - the only hope is that our new signings gel and we start to somehow pick up points. Feel so flat right now, this is so sad to watch.

All rivalries aside, to get a draw at Dagenham is an incredible effort by eight-man Chesterfield.

I shall retain your prediction, and remind you of it in April.

Sounds like that was a very poor decision from the ref.

I know we're all pessimists. But this is exactly the sort of game we lose.
Poor decision or not he should have gone before that anyway. Crap result after being two up but strangely a good point given all those out and the crap we had to bring off the bench. Game of two half’s today we were better first half and Chesterfield the better side second half, fair result I thought.

Some Chesterfield fans are knobs, their player goes off on a stretcher looked a bad one all four sides of the ground applaud him off, our player goes off claret all over the place massive gash in his head and clearly distressed after getting kicked in the face and they abuse him.

Break from the league now and then 3 winnable games when it starts back up before a couple of tough ones.

Aldershot weren't a bad side, clearly lacking confidence though.

On balance deserved the win, but only just as Aldershot gave it a good go after they scored.

Reckon they’ll be ok - MM is a good manager and they’ve recruited quite well at the moment, he’s being backed. Saw thoughts for Southend too actually.

We are looking so much better now HK is gone. By no means are we good or even decent, but we’ve had 20 months of being absolutely dogshit. It’s almost refreshing.

Hmm, not what I saw, but thanks for the flattery. Couple of poor sides hoofing it around in a pub league, ball spent 2/3 game in the air.
You were slightly less shitty than us, and deserved the win, and if you can continue your confidence roll you’ll be safe.
Next up for us, Wrexham and Grimsby.

Feels like not the worst time to be playing Grimsby, with their Covid outbreak and McAtee possibly out(?), and on the back of a morale sapping defeat at Wealdstone. We’re in decent form too with 7 from the last 9, should have been 9. And no injuries.

Looking like a GENUINE sell out too, with 950 of our 1200 already gone.

Going for a crazily optimistic 1-2 away win.

EDIT either that or a 3-0 home win, LJL hat trick

Well, got the result right anyway. First prediction, anyway.

A really great, and possibly season-defining, win. 7 points in a week from Stockport, Bromley and Grimsby, you’d take that. By far the worst performance of the 3, but it was always going to be tough at Blundell Park, Grimsby didn’t give us much space, looked dangerous without ever really threatening to score, if that makes sense. Different story if McAtee and Taylor start? Most probably, but in the NL there does seem to be a bit of luck if you ‘catch’ teams on the right day. We had a disaster week of three defeats to Alty, Woking and Halifax after losing our senIor CBs. Something to do with lack of depth, I guess.

Anyway, nice to win without playing terribly well and being under the cosh a bit after a bit of a narrative developed around us conceding ‘soft’ goals. Grimsby will still be up there come May, I am certain.

Stockport County.
Paul Hurst currently listening to Smooth FM and telling his wife he's not watching anymore football this weekend. When the Match of the Day music comes on later, he's going to storm in telling her to turn it off. He's completely bottling this. They were walking away with it and now this.

And some major, major boiled piss coming this week from some former friends of this section of the forum by the sounds of things. Keep your eye on that.

It was only a matter of time before they woke up and realised hardly anyone gets out of here first time of asking
