Only because the officials wanted to screw over BELEAGUERED Wealdstone, the winning goal was offside, not by much but it was.

The red card to George Wickens seemed suspect in real time, would like to see the replay to that.
The linesman had a shocker disallowing a goal for Alexander before that, so it evened out really. And it was a definite red.

Like all good teams, we bottled a 2-0 lead against Altrincham in the last minute ;)

We should have lost at the end too - somehow held on for a point

We are in great form but Dean Brennan could’ve picked his fixtures since taking charge and they wouldn’t have been much more ideal. We’ve played loads of teams in the bottom half.

Think we’ll fall back when you play those around the playoffs again but for now, god it’s nice to not have a shit team for once.

We are trash. Something is up behind the scenes. Hurst has got 3 games to save himself for me and they don’t come any harder.

Paul Hurst has to be worried for his job tonight
Seriously? We've been poor but he's not gonna get sacked yet and rightly so. I don't think we deserved to lose today, but sloppy defending has cost us again. McAtee has a lot to answer for too, absolute fucking idiot. He's lost his head when he's only just come back into the starting lineup. Taking Taylor off for Lenny was a poor decision though, I'd have a tired Taylor over a fit Lenny all day. No Bapaga again, not sure what he's done to be ignored constantly. Hunt getting a yellow might be a blessing in disguise as Clifton surely moves back into CM.

So what did Wickens do to justify the red?

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Strange game at the Rec, Alty totally dominated first half, but couldn’t score in a brothel. Then found themselves 2-0 down to break-away goals. Shots did the usual, and conceded on 45+1. Second half much the same. although more possession from Shots. Alty upped a gear, equalised on 90 and should have won on 90+3.
Impressed with Alty, decent footballing side.
Hey ho, a point towards safety, grateful for that.

Fair description, if only we could stop giving sides 2 goal leads

Elbow to the face. A red everytime.

If so, fair enough. It’s completely out of character mind so will watch on the highlights show. I know I’ll come across as extremely bitter now but £20 admission to an open terrace and £4 for a bottle of beer is a pisstake.

The Bromley lot giving it large was hilarious, will we see them in Ruislip!? Will We fuck.

I’m not suggesting he’s sacked at all but he should be thinking these next 3 games are a big time for him. You can’t lose 5 of 6 and not be under pressure no matter what level you’re at

Happy with the 3 points but another dire performance, lucky goal just hit somebody on the 6 yard box and went in. Dover hit the woodwork on a few occasions and probably didn't deserve to lose

Who with? When you're a one man team its probably best for him not to be a petulant child who gets himself banned for 3 games.
But that my whole point, everything now points to a Chesterfield win, we’re in abysmal form and our best player is out so it’s just the sort of thing to happen in this crazy league that we go and win next week.

Fair do's. Was a bit Wrexhamy of me to play the game on paper.

My god Grimsby are awful, how it was that close I’ll never know oh actually I do we can’t defend as per usual. McAtee is a disgrace, nothing but intention to hurt a fellow professional when the tackle was not even there to be won. Whose in goal for Grimsby, awful keeper flapping at everything need to get a new one in to trouble the top sides

Win keeps us in with a sniff of play offs but only a tiny sniff, need to get some bodies back and sharpish some of our lads are dead on their feet. The next two week break couldn’t come at s better time for our lads, massive shift today and no surprise we do better without McCallum.

Good turnout from Grimsby loyal shame their players never showed up for them, unless kicking lumps out of people is turning up.

You have 25 games to play [75 points] & you're 3 points off the play offs
& you play us twice in the next month

Everyone plays everyone eventually and we can’t defend, had the manager accepted we can’t defend and got a couple of decent defenders in we would have more than a sniff but as it is there are better side above us already and they all have games in hand.

In a nutshell, yes we are.

Thank fuck we had such a great start because we’re currently in relegation form and every away game now I’m expecting a defeat.

It looks like Paul Hurst really hasn't succeeded anywhere after leaving Shrewsbury.

Footage suggests that it was chest and definitely not an elbow , but the twat collapsed to the floor holding his head. The first disallowed goal was most certainly offside, I wasn’t so sure about the winner, but even Bromley fans saving it was offside.

Comfortable win in the end. Brennan’s PPG would have us top of the league. Astonishing turnaround really.

Yeovil away next week will be a good test. Just happy to be looking forward to games again.
