Really good performance today. We are such a different team when we play to our strengths rather than focussing on the opposition. Woods and Green excellent in midfield. Completely bullied and outbattled Southend's midfield. Thought we would miss Summerfield today but evidently not!

Jesse Debrah looks like a real find. Bromley must have some good centre backs to not offer him a deal after his trial there. Won absolutely everything in the air and kept Murphy quiet all day. Murphy only scored because Debrah was clearly fouled in the build-up and out of position.

Why did Torquay let Waters go? He's been outstanding for us so far. Works his bollocks off and looks a real threat in behind. Even scored a cracking header today despite being the smallest player on the pitch.

As for Southend, they were really poor. Bridge caused us issues but other than that they were poor. They were well and truly second best all over the park. They won't be fighting for playoffs on that evidence.

Had a feeling you might have something to say. Can I just point out I actually said we played well when we lost to Maidenhead. However, no one can deny we were crap last week so don’t get your point. I also recall at times last season where I said we were lucky to win. I want to say Aldershot and Solihull at home. You just talk utter crap. It’s as simple as that. With Stockport imploding and the other big spenders flattering to deceive slightly, I think Daggers are most people’s favourites for the title now.

Quite the turnaround though. I remember a few weeks ago when McMahon was getting right virtual shoeing on here.

Way too early to be talking us up for the title, our injuries have come at the right time against crap teams bossy we would have got 4 points the last week against even mid table teams. Our squad is very small and it’s just a stretch too far for us winning it. Play offs in 5-7 position is more likely.

We were terrible first half of last season, even worse than terrible and with the squad we had it was criminal. Funny how we have a much smaller squad this year but seem to be doing much better. McMahon has done well since the Feb where he cleared out the crap and John Still gave him some ideas and players to get.

As many of us said very reminiscent of last season where we let the opposition start to dictate and as soon as they did nobody looked bothered, nobody wanted to compete, everything looked too difficult.

3-1 flattered us, Halifax should have had 3 or 4 before halftime. They were everything I want to see in the shitshow I'm still, for some reason known only to myself, supporting. They cared, they were willing runners, they battled, they tackled. For us it wasn't welcome to non league, it was fucking groundhog day.

Don't think we're that bad. We lack mobility and a bit of cleverness, that's obvious, but until today we hadn't lacked fight with PB back as manager.
Brown's post match interview was interesting, he's claimed to have told a few of them they won't be a the club much longer and he's going to replace them. He needs to find some pace and guile.

I'm not expecting much this season, I'm quite happy to float about in mid-table, even the lower reaches, but what I do want is players that give a shit. We can be crap, I don't mind crap but at least give it a go whilst being crap.

Certainly a different approach from a manager. He's brutally honest which Is both commendable and bloody stupid at times. If you can't offload those players the situation becomes very awkward.

You've got enough goals in Murphy he's almost a guarentee of goals at this level.
