The harshest part of Bapagas red is the fact the first yellow was never a yellow. The ref was absolutely minging for both sides tonight.

When it went to 3-2 I’d have been almost happy with a point I was that convinced it was going to be 4-3. However for 60 mins we were absolutely dominant, a joy to watch at times and our 3rd goal was a thing of pure beauty.

For the first time tonight at 3-0 I thought we looked like a side capable of winning the league.

Just read that it's same ref that disallowed McAtee's goal at Stockport.

I agree the ref was pretty poor, but Bapaga fouled our FB 3 times in one run when he got his first booking and didnt shut up moaning at the ref all night long. Doesnt tend to work with refs like that !

Just noticed something...pretty sure the Alty throw that got Bapaga sent off is a foul throw anyway?

Hurst rightly points out that Bapaga made 2 fouls all night and was sent off. Your player also handles on the line to stop McAtee scoring as well, the more I think about it the worse he was.

The best one is when your player handles the ball with both hands expecting a foul, no foul and he allows play on and no handball  .

The ref wants to be delighted we won that because I dread to think about the scenes if he’d had reffed us out of 3 points

Wait I’ve spent all evening thinking Notts lobbed away a 2-0 lead after going down to 10 men, but it was Halifax who went to 10? LOL

It was a DEENEY moment, fans on the pitch, limbs everywhere in the south stand. Their manager acting like a brat when his team lost. Hope Rodrigues is alright absolute fairy.

What a win!

(Sorry I've been so quiet, I promised that I wouldn't post until Chesterfield play someone decent but I can't hold it in anymore)

Comparing a winner in a non-league game in October to a winner that secured a place in the most lucrative game in English football.

Grimsby going straight back up is utterly despicable.
Can you not see BWood lurking 2 points behind? As soon as we slip up (on Saturday against giant-killers Woking), they’ll roll on past and storm the league. It’s the ultimate tragedy.

We'll be looking for a new manager by the end of the month.
Fair play to Halifax, kept going at 2-0 and ten men but fuck me we are so weak, mentally and physically after 70 mins.
The manager ended up with three out and out strikers on the pitch when we were crying out for an extra midfielder to just pack the middle and run the clock down . Absolutely shocking management.

It's the same sort of feeling. Maybe an exaggeration but you'd be doing the same if that happened to you. It was the same sort of feeling as I bet they felt. Anyway we move on. How Wild gets this team back Down to earth for Saturday is beyond me.

What have I just seen?! We were below our usual standards giving away 2 really soft goals but the red card and introductions of Warburton and Newby completely changed the game. Speaking of the red card, Bradbury shouldn’t have retaliated like that, even if it was an awful challenge on him (which Rodrigues didn’t even get booked for) However, Rodrigues the cheating git acted like he’d been shot when it was clearly a push in the chest. Shocking play acting. Pretty sure Wootton attempted to throw a punch or two in the melee too and got away with a yellow.

The red card was a blessing in disguise though, gave us all the motivation we needed to overcome the blatant cheating, diving, time wasting etc. Notts County absolutely capitulated when we got one back. The body language from their players hinted they were crapping themselves. We throughly deserved the equaliser and the winner was just absolute scenes.

This team never gives up and we play a really good brand of football. Think we could be contenders this season with some luck on the injury and suspension front.

On a side note, thought the ref was abysmal for both teams. Some of the decisions were baffling. The disallowed goal for Notts County looked soft from a distance and in general there was some bizarre fouls given/not given for both sides.

National League, you really never disappoint!

I have to say this isn't what I expected at all. I thought we'd have a kind of Brotherhood Wacky Races thing with the Brotherhood clubs jostling each other in the top 7 with the lead changing hands weekly and perhaps with the Dick Dastardly Welsh getting edged out of the top spot near the end of the season, hopefully by us, to then fail in the play-offs as well. Instead we are stuck out on own, with a massive target on our backs, surrounded by pound shop clubs puffing their chest out trying bloody us with the help of dodgy refs and only Chesterfield hanging by a thread to give us a bit of moral support.

Come on brothers get your act together...

Agree with pretty much all that although your man was a straight red for violent conduct all day long.
The ref missed it, the linesman made his mind up for him.
The disallowed goal was for a foul on the keeper, he was never touched, the ref was levelling up at that point and we had a stone wall penalty when Sam, the tall sub had his shirt grabbed and was held back as he spun the defender.
None of that matters though, we were pathetic at the end and you deserved it.

Bradbury has admitted he shouldn’t have retaliated but he seems absolutely baffled he got a red for it. Looked like a push into Rodrigues chest from where I was. Will be interested to see it back.

It did look a very soft decision even from the opposite end of the ground. Think we may have got away with one there.

What happened after the full time whistle? Looked like our assistant (who’s usually a very calm person) and one of your staff had a coming together. Millington was absolutely raging. Seen one or two comments on twitter saying he may have got head butted which would explain him losing his cool.

Where the fuck have all these new Halifax fans come from?
See what I'm talking about now? Don't forget, I was here in 2013 and have been here day in day out, week in week out, year in year out, whether we win or lose, win a cup or get relegated, ever since. :ds:

:ffs: Yeah, you hang on to that if it makes you feel better.:bdick:

It doesn’t make me feel better. Worse if anything, because I do like a bit of ‘limbs’, even if it’s against my own team, once I’m over the result. We were promised Deeney v Leicester-style scenes, but that was pathetic.
