He played at right back for us on Tuesday in order to give Adam Henley a rest, did ok and it was clear he had played at a higher level, pleased to have got him as we needed cover as Blackpool recalled Jack Moore. Pleased I was right with my feeling we would beat Tamworth.

He"s a very versatile player to have in your team, much preferred him skipping up and down the wings.

But by heck he"s like Tigger challenging in the air

Looks like we could be close to breaking the NLN attendance record (non-playoffs) on Saturday. It’s a community day with cheaper tickets.

Our record at GP with a larger crowd than normal is atrocious so won’t help on the pitch actions

Guaranteed Elliott has given away 500 or more to Save Face. it's not as if he's paying for them, or anything.

And that's a Scunthorpe United game with a crowd of over 6k, we've won 1 of the last 14

Easiest win Chester will have all season, we just don't win with a big crowd

Not sure how we haven’t won that even with 10 men, dominated for large periods of the 2nd half

Red seemed a bit harsh but would need to see it again

7,511 - not sure how many freebies you gave out but still impressive.

Another 3 points at home for the Magpies, on to the long trip to Bishop Stortford now on Tuesdaym a win there certainly cements our place I the Play Offs, aim now must surely be a home tie in the Semi Finals.

Bring a friend works well with your terrace STH, doesn’t seem to work with BLundell Park when we’ve tried it for Tuesday night games. I guess with most unsold seats poor or restricted view why would you move to sit with a friend.

Not at our best but never really felt in any danger of losing that until a bit of a mad ending when Elliott curled an effort just wide and then they hit the bar. We are a tactically disciplined side who don’t concede often, two was a rarity today. We’re happy to concede possession if we want to and Scunthorpe didn’t do much with it. Whitehall was sulking again for most of that game, like he so often does and how he escaped at least a booking is anybody’s guess. We need to see games out better, as Scunthorpe finished strong despite being a man less.

Good atmosphere and thought Scunthorpe organised the day well. Miss games like that, both sets of supporters fantastic I thought who seemed to mingle well and respect each others efforts with no issues at all. Red for McAlinden looked correct, too far away to know about the penalty shout at the other end. If Glendon hadn’t tapped in our second then it would have been a pen and another straight red.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Possibly a season turning goal for curzon yesterday but I still think we have become too weak at present to sustain a top 7 finish althoigh curzon do always get stronger as we hit the last portion of the season because the heavy pitches dry out and suit their game better, we cannot cope well between December and early March which is a constant issue.

All depends on next week, last gasp goal grabbed us back into top 7 but away at Chester next……..but since we have the second best away form after Tamworth we need to go into it confident

Tollit missed a great opportunity to make it 3-1 and someone miscued it over the bar.

How we didn’t win that game I’ll never know. Well I do, missed chance after chance then sucker punched at the end. Dominanted majority of the game, but missed 4 or 5 very good chances - Rooney, Phillips, Williams and Ceesay to name a few. Then point given up at the very death. A win would’ve taken us into the play offs with a win Tuesday into 4th. Massive opportunity missed. We have numerous games upcoming against the fellow play off chasers - Chorley home, Alfreton home, Brackley away. These will define whether we can get top 7. I think we will fall just short especially with our goal difference effectively being another point against us. Must win at Peterborough Tuesday now after that defeat and points needed against those 3.

We have Boston at home on the last day of the season, what a finale it could be though……

What's happened at Darlo. Is Watson working his magic?
Yep.

We now look like an above average team rather than absolute relegation certainties.

Same players as well, excepting the signings of Main, Cornish and Barrow.

I think he'll keep you up, but will he stay for next season?

I think thats our manager sacked now.

How our team full of professional footballers are repeatedly outworked and outfought by semi-professionals is pathetic. Darlington wanted it so badly tonight, our players didn't care from the first minute. A bunch of overpaid arrogant tossers

Players were told in January most of them wouldn't be getting a new contract (as we can't afford it) and they've all downed tools

Surely there’s a promotion bonus on the table

A well deserved 3-0 win away at Warrington for us tonight, and the way results went we needed it! This relegation battle is something else, 53 or 54 points might be the safety mark this season.

Comfortable 4-1 win at Stortford after a bit of a wobble by falling behind to a 7th minute opener. Decent night for us results wise but we needed it as we now have 2 very tough away games at Hereford and South Shields. Hopingxwe can get something g out of these games.

I just don’t get it. Tamworth have had a wobble and had you capitalised on it you would be right behind them. Instead you have wasted the opportunity. Need to get someone in to steady the ship ready for the play offs.

Not sure, players certainly aren’t playing for it if there is

We are just not good enough really. We’re so easy to play against. Just sit behind the ball, let us pass side to side and wait for us to make a mistake. Hit us on the counter and you’ll score. We haven’t scored in the first half for 10 games in a row.

Rumours are Jimmy Dean will be sacked this week

7 wins in 13 for Watson. The turnaround in this squad is unbelievable. All four signings he's made have been exceptional - the keeper from Sunderland, whilst only 17, is rock solid and will play for England, trust me. Scott Barrow has been inspirational at the back, Cedric Main a beast up front, but special mention to Matty Cornish. Wasn't a regular at Marske in the league below, his performance and attitude has been spot on since arriving. Works hard, creative and scores goals.

And to think we employed Gowling above Watson!

Hi David, what's Keiron Burton like? We just loaned him until the end of the season and you've had him already?
He's alright, though he is no Scott Barrow.

Decent potential though.
