The Current owner has posted a rant on a popular Facebook group:

Jamie Partridge some of you have extremely short memories. Your club was weeks away not months from disappearing forever. There was nobody at the table prepared to save you and the few that did talk about it previously openly admit they would not of had the funds to have kept the club running this long.
Here was me thinking I’d gifted (not loaned) the club £1.7m so far which rises to £2.5m by August. How silly I’ve been if you’re saying I don’t own the club. How did I miss such vital information.
In respect of the stadium, did I take it away from your club? Did I take away your clubs purpose built home and gift it to one of my other companies in order to wipe off a debt that was only amassed due to my own mismanagement of the club. NO
What I did do was promise to bring it back and in January agreed a deal to do so. Did I refuse to carry out vital legal work that the deal relied upon? Did I break every promise made in January that built the very foundations of the deal? NO
What I have done is work hard 16 hours a day to build a better future for your club. Put my money in when nobody else would and probably still wouldn’t and all whilst receiving abuse and hate, all fuelled by nonsense and lies created by supporters of other clubs.
I am not holding your club to ransom, I am simply a custodian. If you have a better alternative to me then let’s hear it, bring them to me and let’s talk. You go on like you’ve got 100 oil rich Saudis queueing around the block with £200m to invest.
Either bring this saviour to me, wisen up or simply shut up as my patience is wearing thin now and the alternative for your club without my money is extremely bleak.

Wow, and I thought Cleeve was a 'bit touchy' at times! Whilst I have some sympathy with owners when you look at some social media posts from fans, surely they all know what they are walking into when they buy into a club. It seems most fans want their owner to have deep pockets and thick skin but the two don't always go hand in hand

Thing is Tony he doesn’t want to speak to the media. Only through his inner circle of fans (Newly appointed Councillor Max Bell and his strangely new fans podcast) or cryptic twitter posts.

I know Grimsby is a bit behind everyone else but Son of Cod posting Hilton’s rant 18 hours later on the Forum he led his “crusade” on is :woot:
It’s not as if David Curries Mullet did exactly the same thing 6 hours before

Haha, this was the forum I led my crusade on actually! Barely ever check the non-league section on here so wasn't aware that it had been posted on here.

Oh you mean he posted it in the NLN thread on there? Why would I be checking that thread?!

Glad to see you're not as on board as some though. Do you have any idea which local team this groundshare/contingency plan is supposed to be with?

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
So curzon have held onto most of their side but had 4 big losses which is normal for them the killer is our top 3 scorers all went in peers, Hancock and Spencer plus the goalie.

2 replacements in, goalie wise brought back cam mason from Southport who is a decent conf north goalkeeper and played here long time before so that is fine.

The usual curzon gamble up front going with miles storey who was at Hereford, fits our usual pattern of someone expected to do well at the bigger clubs and hasn’t and now us hoping to get more out of them here. At present the lack of goals will be a killer

Jason Law is a great signing for Scunny, I expected him a level above at least.

Michael Bostwick signed for Boston from Stevenage
Excellent signing for NLN level.

Probably suits him now because his back is knackered and hardly trains, so a PT side not too far from home in Peterborough works.

It's Gainsborough, although i spoke to someone who's in touch with their Directors yesterday and they've not been approached.

It said on the Twitter site that Jimmy Spencer signed a new contract on 13th May?

Our ground capacity has been reduced 3,368 due to the action of the one-game-a-season mob who attacked Brackley fans at the end of the play-off S/F. This coupled with the majority of the police present sitting in their vehicles outside the ground. Wouldn't matter normally, but we were reaching those sort of numbers at the business end of the season.

To be reviewed in November and that might be brought forward providing everything going to plan, so hopefully it does.

Every game all ticket until then as well, advanced through the online site. Including for away fans. Although I think you'll still be be able to do it on the day of the match.

Just over 5k allowed, used to be 6k but Vaughan puts seats in the away end to reduce it to 5.5k and then built a few things without planning permission meaning our SAG won't allow us full unless we do lots of work. That crook still costs us to this day.

What’s your usual capacity?
About 5,200, but never likely to be reached due to the draconian measures inflicted by SAG (Safety Advisory Committee).

As you and I know, our issue is never with day to day matches. It is with the 'big occasion' matches, which seems to bring out out a relatively small number of idiots who drag the club's name through the mud.

Don’t see why not, shame to lose Willoughby but realistically I think we’ve known he’d go for a while. I don’t think we’ll miss him quite as much as most others do either, think we’ll have goals throughout the team more next season. Just a hunch.

Fylde and Kiddy are gone, Scunthorpe are a bit of a basket case behind the scenes and rumours of some others cutting back a bit. On the other hand generally we seem to be progressing better than we have done for quite a while. Crowds have been on the up recently and got record season tickets this year already at 1.8k sold so far. £85k donated to boost the budget with a few weeks left to go etc.

I see Macc have asked fans to “boost the budget” all while raising season ticket and match day prices sky high. That doesn’t look like it will end well.

I think this season looks really wide open as it stands. Would say Buxton have done some good business early doors though, could be a contender this season.

Meanwhile Banbury have just announced top scorer Rasulo is leaving. They've already lost Babos to Hereford, Reilly to Tamworth, Langmead has gone and their Manager that got them up the leagues resigned. Could be a tough season in store unless they replace well.

Oh and Stortford unsurprisingly lost their appeal yesterday. Cue today announcing top scorer Merrifield is going and strike partner Harris is too.
