Bottega Don does not go away from home so take what he says with a large pinch of salt. Richard Taylor

Is he a striker or a winger?

If he's a striker he will be backup to Whitehall unless we go two up front. He'd start more as a winger due to Roberts and Law both being very injury prone
That's the big question, still not sure exactly what he is, I dont rate him as a winger but he worked hard for us as a second or even sometimes main striker.

Notice Adam a Thomas has gone from Chester to marine.

Would have liked him back at curzon he was fantastic for us a couple of years ago, shame he didn’t succeed back at Chester, he’d suited our style and I know he’s injury prone but felt he could have replaced mahon to let him concentrate on management and then you have mahon for when he’s injured….maybe he didn’t want to leave Merseyside area

Marine looking like they could be dark horses for a playoff push

Darlington sign Joe Leesley on a 1 year deal.

If he's half the player we had on loan a couple of seasons ago, then this is great news.
He was marmite with us. Most liked him but he definitely rubbed a few up the wrong way with his attitude. Well thought of at kidderminster though, so probably the problem lies with the section of our fans who don't want winners if they've got that bit of nastiness about them

No dark horses if tamworth walked it at 40/1 last year.
Everyone's in the mix. It's about who is the least sh1t side across 46 games and then who is the luckiest in the lottery at the end of it like we were

Always liked him and did fairly well but we don't play with wingers and he was on the sidelines injured too much.

Darlo sign 19 year old prospect Jack Maskell from Dunston UTS, in step 4.

He scored 26 goals in 36 appearances for them and seems to be very highly rated.

Cracking signing Jack Maskell very pacey and scores for fun.

Hopefully we might have just found a hidden gem with this young lad!

He probably played less than a dozen games last season and he no longer wanted to play as a winger.

I notice your lot signed cam mason.

Good solid dependable keeper, he just got unlucky last season as he got injured and ollerinshaw came in and just played inspired and you couldn’t drop him, but mason always a decent keeper this level.

Chester fans, not football related this but I know there’s a few of you on here so just wondering what Chester is like to drive in, taking the Wife tomorrow and Monday to Chester for her birthday and didn’t know whether to stay at the Doubletree that’s a couple of miles out and then drive in, or stay somewhere closer to the centre so I can then park up and not have to drive about too much.
Cheers.

I think Chester races is on this week so it’s going to be busy in the town, lots of park and ride available if you select to stay outside and travel in, I don’t live in the city so perhaps some of the other lads can give you more information.

Signings so far...

Brad Roscoe from Hyde United (Club Captain)
Tom Walker from AFC Fylde
Josh Wardle from Marine (Club Captain)
Finlay Sinclair-Smith from Marine

Radcliffe look poised for a challenge, play-offs?

They are just another Hyde or Droysden, one big hopeful effort but would soon collapse.

The ground isn’t close to national league level, will get 1,000 fans tops and unlike curzon won’t be getting a steady off field income.

But they have a chance although most here will know their style and approach from their management team

First new signing for us is Paul Downing, formerly of Hereford. We briefly had him for pre season last year, but think it was just to help him with fitness after a bad injury lay off as we were already pretty stacked in that position last year.

Quiet time of season but on the whole the big thing so far from this summer is curzon have signed up just about their entire first team for next season which is very rare, only the goalkeeper to pen his deal and all the play off side are still here.

It’s very rare for curzon we usually lose a couple of key players will be interesting if it helps for next season

Two massive signings for curzon in last two days and I’m starting to think we could well be a title contender.

Today signed Issac Buckley Ricketts from Warrington who got into conf north team of the season and scored 15 times for them last season.

Day previous we signed our new goalkeeper Bobby jones who was marines goalkeeper for all of second half of season last year really and very highly rated…..came from Stockport.

With us keeping our defence side from last year and now starting to add goals I think we got good chance to push on.

Deservedly so too - club is ran the right way with no huge benefactor juicing it up.

Darlo sign keeper Pete Jameson from Harrogate Town.

Best keeper in the league according to Steve Watson, and we know all about him having had him as goalkeeper for several seasons in our rise back up the leagues.

We've signed Joe Foulkes and Maliq Cadogan.

Maliq is a youngster on loan from Swansea. Who knows if that works out but it's only until January.

Foulkes is an unbelievable signing. Promoted with us on his second loan spell. More than 20 appearances in league 2 last season and is still young and can improve.

Jameson has always been a reliable keeper at NLN level

First pre season game last night, won 5-0 at Barton Town.
We would have drawn that under the previous manager.

Fixtures out today be interesting to see who we get.

We lost our first pre season game away 2-0 not a goood start but pre season means nothing (well unless you win each game 5-6-0)
