Thought that Notts played well all things concerned. No football since March... no fans... terrible weather and played well. Only time I’ve felt like that watching a play off was at home to Crewe in 96... we just looked like we were in second gear.
Next week will be a different kettle of fish. Harrogate are a good side. Wembley pitch should suit us but it’s all about who deals with the occasion

Yeah I thought you played well. Should be a good final. Think you'll probably edge it on the big pitch. I'm interested to see what the odds are

You can see them now, can't you?

Thousands of them, down the A60, on horse and cart with pigs being walked on leads for their big day out in the city.

Beautiful in its own way.

you’ve got to earn the right for that to happen first.....

Absolutely but unlike some clubs I could mention, we've actually reached a playoff final, as opposed to a total capitulation in the semis

If Harrogate are the better footballing side, they'll win at Wembley.

we won the conference pal, not through some dodgy playoff system which you’ve yet to win. Try again

as said, if you take your chance you’ll have the right to play Mansfield.

I think he was taking the mick out of Forest, Adam.

Anyway, good win today without really hitting top gear, credit to Barnet, thought it was a pretty even until the first bit of quality saw an excellent cross from JOB and an equally good finish from Dennis, in awful conditions.

No idea how the final will go, it looks pretty tight to be honest. Pens a decent shout? Fucking hell, I hope not.

I missed the biggest result from yesterday - Yeovil will play in the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Cup next season.

I’m not sure if it’s going ahead next season especially if the Scottish Football League won’t start until October.

You would think all Stags fans could have worked that out for themselves. Especially as they of course reached a final (and lost) against Huddersfield. Awful timing to try something cheeky in the resulting penalty shoot out :ffs:

Harrogate ever so slight favourites with the bookies and rightly so. As close to a pick'em as you can get

From my limited viewing of the sides, it seemed Harrogate were the better team but Notts clearly possess more match winners and individual quality to win a game.

I thought Harrogate pinged it around nicely and at pace especially first half where Boreham just couldn't get the ball and keep it. From looking at that I thought their weakness was in the number of clear cut chances to posession.
I believe we'll be able to match them up better in midfield so they'll be less dominant and that we'll be better for playing a game.
On paper we've a better first eleven and stronger bench but it's a one off final so who knows.

I see Harrogate getting reffed up you know.

National League want the big boys down here for next season to generate more money in these UNCERTAIN TIMES.

Don’t want to be a horrible old killjoy or anything, but has it actually been confirmed anywhere that the playoff winners will definitely be getting promoted?

This seems pretty conclusive.

Stevenage and Macclesfield might have uncertainties about where/if they'll be playing next year, but the National League seem confident enough that the playoff final winner will be promoted to publish this in a prominent place on their website (and sure, this is more PR than legally binding as such, but....)

You're now the fortress at the gates of the Football League, holding the line for the REAL football clubs against the money bags Tin Pot barbarians. DON'T let us down! This is a clash of values, between those who say success is earned on ones own merits and is generated from within, and those who say, bollocks to that, here's a big fat check, now give me that cup.............

The bookies sure don't fancy us. Notts now 19/10 to win it in normal time. Money clearly coming in for Harrogate Town AFC

I accompanied my Terriers-fan mate to that. Aside from my mate going all wobbly lipped over the National Anthem, coz he was pissed, the highlights were seeing the teenaged Mansfield fan's face fall as he flicked Vs at us across the barriers when I directed his gaze to the game being restarted with a freekick as their stoppage time "winner" was disallowed, and Liam Lawrence blowing their chances in the penalty shoot-out by trying to lob the first one over the goalkeeper and seeing it come down on the crossbar. A be-suited Jonathan Stead joined Huddersfield on the winners dias, even though he was by then a Blackburn player. :ds:
