It does stand out when you look down the list. Who needs Bolton vs Huddersfield or Man City vs Burnley when there is a Wrexham fixture on the list, against Torquay no less?

Funny, I haven't spotted any in Barrow today...

Two Titans of foot the ball. Boreham who?

Obviously unlike most of the tin potter's we are known to foreign football fans. In fact we beat Magdeburg last time we played them (1979) MASSIVE

Ollie Banks returns to Oldham. He and the already departed Mottley-Henry were key figures in our turnaround. Throw in losing goalie Scott Davies, as whoever gets the shirt will have to adapt to our defensive foibles. Starting to think it might be Barrow's day :sna:

We're also without our best keeper and lost our best player when his loan ended. Very similar situation in that respect.

Holt vs McNulty will be a highlight, and I can see it getting a bit 'tasty'.

Pools squad traveled down to London on the train today.

Remember going to Plymouth on the train and then ended up in the same carriage as some of the pools team after the game in 2003. After a bit of chit chat, we noticed virtually all of them had vodka or Smirnoff ices in their kit bags. Got smashed on Smirnoff Ice and vodka coke. Dear God. Should admit that on a public forum. Almost won the poker tourno but Darren Craddock went all in with a fucking 8 6 against my JJ and two 8s came down on the flop the jammy bastad.

The story has no relevance to this thread at all but memories of happy days are all I have left now.

Jack Storer on the bench for Solihull, if he comes on he may have a point to prove after his brief and dramatic time here in the summer. Whether he proves that point be scoring, or by fighting someone, remains to be seen.

10% of our league goals this season have been scored in this first half vs Torquay.

Last time we will play Torquay for a long time I'd have thought, anyone who lets us score 3 against them all in one half is getting relegated. A shame to see a proper club like this in such a mess.

We have been comprehensively second best so far, Solihull have kept us in our half for most of the game while we look very flat. Another injury is also less than ideal.

Referee at Barrow hasn't got a clue. The penalty was right, but lost control after McNulty gave him a rollicking. Getting everything wrong for both sides now.

He had no authority at all. The players are running rings around him.

Another injury, Hodgkiss who was forced on due to Kennedy's injury only lasts 5 mins in this half.

Haha, even the fans are time wasting here! Lad catches ball, puts it on the floor of the terrace and walks off. Got to love non league.

Same again second half - missed so many fouls it was extraordinary. Result was fair, and our keeper kept us in it at times, but we weren't helped by the totally inept officials.

Hope Buxton is okay - a lot of weight landed on that shoulder!

Anyone who allows Chris Holroyd to score a hatrick deserves to go down.

If Chester win their games in hand it may make the relegation battle a little interesting.

My particular refereeing highlight was when your keeper picked the ball up behind the goal and launched it as far as he could down the player's tunnel to waste time. The ref was watching but did bugger all about it.

Frustrating day, but we just weren't good enough. We're a long way from being promotion contenders on the last couple of showings. As you say, fair result. Both sides wasted chances.

Hartlepool are the worst team I've seen this season. Absolutely atrocious. How is their manager still in a job?

We were bang average but took advantage of a couple of gifts.

Still much improvement needed for Tuesday against Boreham Wood.

Because we are selling pencils on EBay to pay the bills, we are broke and have been hoping for his resignation for weeks.

our keeper dropped both the ball for both aldershot goals :ffs: the 1st 1 letting that diving cheat kellerman score :sna:
we were bad but we allowed their backs to pass around unchallenged, a better team would have put them under pressure

That was a massive win! Dover away is never easy but we dug in and ground out the win. Frustrating to gift them a goal after being given a goal 30 seconds after but once we went 2-1 up we defended extremely well. Kellerman man of the match for me but a mention to Kabamba who changed the game when he came on and looked to be exactly what we have been missing so far this season.

Holroyd has been excellent this season. 11 goals in 20 games.

Solihull deserve some credit here - they look much better than their league position would suggest. They played some good stuff in the first half and saw the game out well towards the end. Frustrating for us but we weren't up to our usual standards all over the pitch. It felt like Askey tried to shoehorn Hancox into the team at the expense of Wilson, leaving Marsh up front on his own which rarely works. Our performance was disrupted even more by injuries to Kennedy and Hodgkiss so we're now down to only three fit defenders. At least we have a fortnight to recover.
