Yep all the best to him. Looked like a nasty fall rather than clash of heads? Hopefully nothing too serious.

Let’s be honest we were garbage. Worst performance in the last 2 seasons. Not one shot.
But 2 goals were offside. Clearly. How do you get them so wrong ?
Not that it would make a difference.
Garett is a liability in goal. We need a whole back 4.
Dino needs to go but I know he won’t so let’s hope we have a good transfer window.

Good stuff. More important than the result that he’s come out of it ok.

He seemed to roll over the other lad's back then right down on his head, so no wonder the neck brace. Only a short fall but enough to be a real scare.

We’ve already beaten you once though. For any team to lose to us twice is a stretch.
It mad that the reverse fixture isnt until Mid-March, considering we played each other on the opening day. We have lost the last 3 at yours without scoring so history isnt looking good

Vale’s third goal really was poor from McGee. Anyone got a decent keeper they don’t need? Asking for a friend.

We are a disorganised rabble. Another game with the crowd streaming out early. At any other club, the Cowleys would have been long gone.

Decision time for the board. Do they act now or give the Cowleys another window? Not just relegation form but bottom-of-the-table form over the past three months.

Was surprised with MK, they played some lovely football at times but seemed to lack any gameplan in the final third.

What I did find strange was the constant tactic of your GK kicking it long up to Eisa which was swallowed up by our big centre half every single time. Somebody really needs to tell him to mix it up a bit.

Argyle wise, we huffed and puffed really and three pieces of brilliance from Morgan Whittaker was probably the difference. Going to need to improve the tempo or our play if we want anything from the next two matches.

Not been any Morecambe fans on here for a while but the result of the day has to be their 5-0 thrashing of Burton.

McCann's got to be under pressure at Posh as well? Their poor form seems to have gone under the radar over the last two or three months.

It’s wonderful isn’t it?

That Morecambe goal was ridiculous but I guess at least it was at 4-0 up already. If it decided the game then it would have been very controversial.

Nooo, what makes you think that?

The “McCann Out” poll on their forum only has a mere 100% of replies (64 people so far) in favour of getting rid.

Sure, polls by their very nature encourage extremes of response (and not just waves of general apathy which I think is the default position for most average fans) but that’s not a good result.

They seem worried though that even if McCann did get sacked, that his replacement wouldn’t get any cash to spend in January.

Glad to see Cass is ok. Looked nasty and you never know how they will come out.

Overall pretty relieved, first half was up there with the worst we’ve played this season but as the half wore on we started to gain a foothold.

Second half was similar to the game at Vale Park where FGR sat deep and we dominated proceedings but didn’t look like it was going to come, especially when Benning mis kicked what was a simple volley into the net.

Great ball in for Mipo and he did what Benning didn’t and knocked it in and from that point on it was going to be a case of if we could find another as FGR had got into that defensive mindset.

Great work from Pett to win the penalty and was worried sick Ellis would miss with his form and confidence but hopefully that does him the world of good.

Great finish then from Politic to kill the game although I’d be annoyed at the keeping from an FGR perspective.

FGR played some nice stuff but lacked the clinical edge when we struggled to cope early in the game and sat way too negative (again against us) trying to protect the lead.

There is something there for them they weren’t awful but looked fragile. I like FGR as a club, we’ve been through the last few seasons together it seems and as I said I hope they stay up after the work to get up here.

For us, nice win, a first on New Years Day since beating Ipswich 5-0 in 1990! 14 games winless. 35 points so 4-5 wins off the initial aim I would think and a good 13 point buffer.

15 days off now which has come at a good time with the injuries and illness we’ve had in the camp, so hopefully can patch up, get some transfer activity done and then hit the ground for a run of fixtures and try and get to the magic 50 as soon as we can.

This is how a fair few of our games go. We can be very passive in the first half before trying to up the tempo in the second. Problem is you can’t really afford to give teams head starts like we have today.
Ahh, you forget, you were playing Forest Green...we can't hold onto a lead...if you sent our team out to walk a dog they would come back without one.

Long may it continue, their form has led to the absence of that utter spunktrumpet Posh fan

Thumping win, 2 wins on the trot now which brings us back into the dog fight.

Bizarre set up by Burton playing such a high line, could and probably should have been 10-0. Probably the worst team I've ever seen at this level and we were bottom, very bottom until this week!

Thought it wouldn't come and we left it very late but it was probably deserved for the last 50-60 minutes of the game. I knew that FGR would come quickly out of the blocks but we looked like we were still in the changing rooms for the first 20 minutes.

We've got much better depth than previous years, which is shown by 2 of our subs scoring.

We still look desperately short in areas and our goal difference is a concern but we keep chalking up the points.

FGR looked reasonably tidy at times but they dropped deeper and deeper as the game went on and have a bit of a soft underbelly. Matt and Stevens playing together might help.

The relegation dogfight is still far from a foregone conclusion, and any of the teams currently at the arse end of the table could get out of it in the short term with a couple of wins.

But that FGR goal difference really doesn’t help them, 10 worse than the next worst GD. Although from the sounds of things, not much is likely to change with them for now to get to the point where GD is even a consideration, the manager won’t get shitcanned and they’re not going to suddenly spirit a bunch of cash for new players from nowhere.

**EDIT: so maybe I was wrong on the last bit, only just saw on the transfer thread that they are indeed looking to splurge some cash. Will it be enough though or would they be better off getting a new manager who can organise them to be more solid and physical…

Which does not say much for forest green and Lincoln as we somehow beat both of them this week. No complaints today - should have been more but at least one of the goals looked miles offside. Not that it made a blind bit of difference. We need some new players and quick or we are down before the clocks go back.

Game over now for sure. Looked offside mind
Wade Elliott: It's six yards offside. It's not even a close one, or a marginal one you can understand the linesman getting wrong. It's six yards.

We won’t get anyone that will improve us enough, not with Burchnall in charge. They’ll also probably suddenly become injury prone.

Seems like you are missing Ebou Adams a hell of a lot, and Cadden to a lesser extent. I dont think Adams has even played for Cardiff since which must make it even more annoying

Yep Adams has been out all season. As incidentally has Kane Wilson who we lost to Bristol City. Those plus Cadds have been huge losses that we just haven’t been able to replace. Same system but with less good players, in a higher division, was never likely to go well.

Yeah I cringed at that, it did look off at the time but looking back at the highlights it's really close. Still think he was half a yard off when the ball was played but Wade's been a bit dramatic there.

I thought it was offside in the first instance watching on Ifollow, then on the replay, but for Wade to say it was 6 yards off was crazy.

Either way, even if he was off, we made it far too easy for Rovers with their two goals. It's a funny one, because defensively we've been so strong this season, but against Rovers the defenders have played like they don't know each other. All 6 goals they've scored against us could have been dealt with, or were actually our own fault.

I didn't think we were too bad in the first half, but we weren't great either. Second half was one of the most dominant I've seen from us all season, especially the first 20 mins or so. That we never scored an equaliser shows where our weaknesses lie.

Now hoping Freestone's injury is not as bad as it seems - he will be a huge loss if he's out for a length of time.

Dapo suspended for this today, Plymouth and Pompey games. Huge loss for us. Unsure if Santos and Gethin are available again yet. Think we will get beat today. Barnsley in great form and we haven’t really had any consistency yet this season especially away from home.

Ian Evatt is currently trying to buy consistency in the January window.
