Just heard the talk sport clip with the Macc players email to the manager about his insurance and bailiff issues and depression from it.

Absolutely diabolical.

Now is not the time to be indulging in navel gazing about the rights or wrongs of who may or may not get 3 points.
Now is the time to give support and sympathy to the fans and staff of Macc.

I don't know about other Macc fans but I find it really hard to actually write things about the position we're in. Not because it hurts but it just feels like we're slowly dieing and it's not very nice to talk about.

I've just no idea how this comes to an end in a positive way. Joe Sealey remains interested in taking over the club but I fully expect him to eventually get a look at the books and just find even more horror stories and put him off. He's said it will probably take about £800k to wipe out all the debts and get the club back on an even keel. The issue is that Amar actually thinks the club has a monetary value on top of this which is completely mental.
I agree totally mate , this is totally gut wrenching and very difficult to talk about As a fan of 40 years the thought of not having a club any more is absolutely heart breaking . Amar please see sense and do the decent thing GO NOW !!!!

Owner statement saying he's in "advanced negotiations" to sell.

Can very much relate to this.

Hmm. The owner is in advanced negotiations to sell up according to the owner himself. Any idea on who the new guy might be?

I sincerely hope it isn't one of those cases where someone effectively sells something to themselves via a shadow company, wiping out debts and money owed in the process.

EFL not fit for purpose.
Good luck Macc, hope you don't suffer the same fate we did, i wouldn't even wish that on Bolton.
having no club hurts.

Are you guys in the process of setting up a phoenix club yet? When we did it, it was great for 3 seasons.

he can't buy another club while he is still involved with us, and due payments from the deal to buy the club
I’m sure there are ways around that through shell companies and other individuals buying on his behalf. It’s not like the EFL do the correct digging and checking.

He’s also very welcome to defer his payments from the sale of Vale if he wants!

The only publicly known suitor is Joe Sealey. He talks a good game and I guess we can only take people at face value but he seems genuine in his plans for the club. Its be quite refreshing to hear him say that there isn't exactly a great amount of progress in terms of the league we play in due to the size of the club, but there is absolutely mo reason why we cant be sustainable, have an academy and invest in the ground etc. He lives locally and has strong relationships with many of our previous sponsors and commercial partners who were part of our success a couple of years ago so would immediately give the club a lift that way. He also wants the club to be a major part of the towns communtiy again which it just hasn't been for the best part of 10-15 years now.

We dont want miracles at Macc, just someone who cares.

Despite media reports claiming the Alex would be seeking 3 points for Saturday's cancellation, that now won't be happening. Probably just some angry frustrations on Friday leaking out, but thankfully calmer heads have prevailed.

Although we now want any new signings and their 2 suspended players ruled out of the next game. Which won't happen, they will probably have massive turnover in January and be made up of at least 50% loan signings paid for by parent clubs to reduce the wage bill, especially if the current owner is still around.

We've just got to stop complaining and get on with it. If we're good enough, we can beat enough teams to make the rearranged game unimportant.

The most disgusting part of this kerfuffle is everyone referring to it as a rematch or replay. As if we’ve played it yet.

Awaiting Vale’s complete outrage at us now failing to ensure the integrity of the competition and not challenging the EFL enough. Livid they’ll be.

Not sure I blame Sol here as much of a tool as he often appears.

Didn’t he pay some players from his own pocket at one point? And had to experience working with players on low wages not getting paid. Although £180k owed suggests he was either on a huge wage (over 3k a week!) or its money he’s owed from helping other players within that.

Reading between the lines a bit of some things he said at a Southend supporters meeting it sounds like his contract was minimal but he had a big bonus if Macc survived relegation.

He spoke with Silk FM last night and said it's been agreed in principle. But until he's had a closer look at the clubs finances I'm not getting too confident just yet. Got to hope that there are no more nasty surprises behind the scenes else we'll be back to square one.

It's progress, but I guess it means nothing until it means something.

As above, its just a figure agreed to buy the clubs which covers the owners shares and outstanding debt- however this is based on what the owner has told him about the debt and not on what is actually in the books. Wouldn't at all surprise me that they find a lot more than people are aware of.

No celebrating from me yet, Amar has played too many games in the past to get excited. We were in this position about 6 years when when "a deal was agreed", only for him to pull out 24 hours later.

This weekend is creeping ever closer. I wonder if the players are going to continue their hold out?

They have reportedly trained yesterday and today so that it is a positive indication the Walsall game will go ahead; last week they hadn't trained at all.

Huh? Why, have they been paid or something? I'm not being funny, but the stand they took last week will look pretty hollow if they suddenly are mentally recovered enough to play this weekend and no money has received.

Where would you expect to start? We stared at Evo Stik North (Step 4). You should get that. We were originally placed at Step 6, but won appeal.

Right now I would just take starting, most likely at Radcliff Borough
