Teams like Eastleigh are the future of football. A brave new world where teams play in empty stadiums amd players play for the love of the game, refusing to take a wage, fuelled only by their adherence to the Vision.

61 arrested / too hungover / got lucky last night?

Pleasant atmosphere in the Sofa stand down the side had a chat with the Lincoln fan next to me, had to jump up when we scored...

A wag behind remarked that Hurst could stop coaching from the touchline because he wouldn't be working with these players soon...depends on how you define soon; if soon is Christmas and we are still 10th that could prove to be true...

We only travel well away to Wrexham? Christ, at least do some research on our away followings before spouting rubbish. Probably time to forget about Scunthorpe, they've got bigger fish to fry than a non-league team and have done for a while.
We've got the largest away support down here as a % of our home support..

Really? I'd be surprised if that is the case, considering our away attendances so far. Have you got a table of % of home supporters who travel away?

In terms of % of home supporters travelling away we were second to Barnet last year with around 16%.

Maybe you saw a table were away fans hadn't been subtracted from the home attendances or something?

Which doesn't mean a great deal. ..

Chester do travel in respectable numbers and that is impressive given your recent history. Unfortunately it's home attendance that pays the bills. The people of Chester need to get off their arses and come and support the club. I mean that sincerely. I've always been disgusted by the apathy in the city for their club. I was at Greyhound park this week. I saw a couple of kids in Wrexham shirts and a whole host of United/Everton/Liverpool/Chelsea (?) shirts. Not one Cestrian. Rivalries aside I am a bit dismayed by that.

Unless we ever have a sustained period of success (rather unlikely!) it will never change unfortunately. Us Chester fans are just as disgusted by the disinterest of fellow Cestrians who would rather follow Liverpool/Everton/United, usually through the TV. No questioning the loyalty of the ones that do follow the club though, our reformation, away support and even the recent crowdfunder show we are very passionate bunch.

No official number but an Altrincham fan on our forum reckons around 1500 Tranmere fans

Not seen an attendance stated at Braintree but it was segregated. There was probably around 200 Aldershot fans in attendance.

56 Macc is wrong. My friend did a head count and it totalled 90. There were 50 on the official coach alone.
Edit - bit pedantic I know!
