Cheers, I thought it was unsegregated though?

The game was segregated, but the stated attendance last week didnt show an away attendance. I guess our media team obtained the away attendance and put it in our programme. My original estimate of 200 was pretty good though ;)

I went to Welling today and would estimate 200- 250 Tranmere today in an unsegregated crowd of 1016.
The last time I went to a game which didn't have segregation was way back in the 1980/81 season away at the Shay, Halifax. It's great switching ends at half time.

Haha must be embarrassing constantly being in wrexhams and Shrewsburys shadows not a big club anymore...
I'm starting to get impressed here, the ratio of their fans on this forum is beginning to look pretty healthy.

Fair point, I'd be pissed off to if I let my club die.

When will people learn footballs all about money these days.

Obviously no one's interested in places like Chester can't blame them, bitter bitter fans

Original.

Are we to expect hundreds more of you at somewhere like Tranmere to take in the sunny delights of Birkenhead?

Do me a favour.

Behave - Birkenhead's fuckin' great, laa! It's the ideal place to go if you want to get the feeling of what being stuck in 1993 is like.

We took around 100 to Boreham Wood on a Tuesday night. Obviously our fans find that a more appealing place then some shithole in Wales.

Newsflash, but the Welsh stuff just makes me cringe, even from a lot louder. Look at a map, the ground itself might staddle the border but the club that represents the city is nothing like Welsh, but carry on, it's not like I don't have enough reasons to pity you.

I was just starting to like the other guy too. :2thumb:

couldn't see any Eastleigh fans at Barrow today.....
mainly because i had to work and missed the game - which is a pain when you have a season ticket...

If it helps with the numbers estimate Eastleigh numbers at 25-30, 22 on the official coach according to their site and add on a few for exiles...

We aren't, the new club is well better than the old one.

Makes me laugh irrelevant teams like Forest Green coming to Chester and singing 'you let your club die', you'll probably end up the same way in a few years.

I know you are just trying to bait him, but saying Chester is a shithole is so far off the mark, it's a beautiful place.

There is absolutely no difference whatsoever between FGR and Eastlee. Both are fake football clubs whose continued presence in this league is only explicable as a rich knobber's vanity project/hobby. :ds:

Can someone explain why 65 fans travelling 5 hours there and back is "pitiful" is there some sort of cred for attracting more? Maybe its cos they didnt want to go to a ground with notoriety :err:

Most of the old league clubs are bound to attract more support, so what- FGR are sitting happily on top, and deservedly so. Think its probably more a case of jealousy. Expect to see plenty more for the rest of the season.

ANY fans that travel a long way deserve credit, looks like the number of FGR fans travelling are similar numbers to the other non league teams.
Its not the 65 that travelled is the problem. Its the amount you take away when you are top of the league that is. I remember last season when we played you in the 2 legged semi final. You didn't even sell out your own section in the home leg.

What will be embarrassing is when they are taking 50 away in League 2.
50? Don't make me laugh. Crawley took 3 to Port Vale one Tuesday night a year or so back. When they opened the doors to the Tin Potters back in 1987, it was in the expectation that the traditional chaff at the bottom of the League would be replaced with vibrant, better run clubs that had more to offer the game. Nobody foresaw these Mickey Mouse models whose only means of entry is limitless funding by sad, lonely individuals on an ego trip. :£

I can't believe people are slagging off the pedigree of the little club on the hill. They were Hellenic League Champions 1981 ill have you know.

Ever since then they have been on an upward trajectory. Vince's money had had no bearing on that. Everything is set for them to be Premier League Champions in 2035. They are the future of football. Them and Eastleigh. And Fleetwood and Rushden and Diamonds and Crawley. Oh wait not R&D. Not Crawley either. Forget I mentioned those two.

GuiseleySteve - any estimate for Gateshead fans at Guiseley on Bank Holiday Monday, or Guiseley at Torquay yesterday?

Ever since then they have been on an upward trajectory. Vince's money had had no bearing on that.

You're lack of knowledge is laughable. You do realise that we had been a Conference club for 12 YEARS BEFORE VINCE HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CLUB. This included up until last season our highest ever league finish (8th 07-08) and our best ever cup runs (3rd round 08-09 and 09-10).

In terms of our honours we've won a lot more then just the Hellenic League. We won the FA Vase and both Southern League divisions, plus have appeared in 2 Trophy Finals, the first team ever to appear in both Vase and Trophy finals.

Most of our rise and growth, unlike Fleetwood for example, came WITHOUT Vince's millions. Capiche?
