564 Shaymen tickets sold in total.
Had the misfortune to be on a train joined by some of your travelling support at Manchester. Some definite throwbacks to the hooligan era, skirmishes amongst themselves and talk of scuffles with FCUM.

Can't say I've had any previous issues with Halifax fans, but this lot did you no credit.

It's become a bit of a cliche to knock FGR's away support, but for a game of this magnitude that is seriously poor. Still, fair play to the ones who did go.

Yeah well done to those of us that travelled etc but right now honestly struggling to give a fuck. You are all right our support is shit (in numbers) and our team is shit as well. Won't stop me going back next week and probably to Guiseley for another chance to be told how shit our support is.

It wasn't meant to be a dig really, I just don't understand it. Keep going to those away games bud.

Yep, there was a group of odd looking teens who left the match, "bored", 30 minutes from the end, who had no interest at all in watching the game. Definitely not regulars, probably banned from The Shay and one of the groups who turn up at the bigger, local away games with one purpose in mind. It's hard to know what the club can do about these, they can only ban people from attending The Shay and have no control over who turns up at other grounds, claiming to be supporters. I suppose they could insist all tickets are collected in person from The Shay and have the chairman interview everyone personally before handing over the ticket. No doubt someone on here will insist that is what should happen - over to you Harrogate Harry and ChrisFGM. Any regular Town fans will confirm, they are definitely not fellow fans who turn up week in week out.

Do you not have a police liaison officer connected to your club? They usually weed out these sort of knobs.

Don't know, but it obviously doesn't help when the home club allows away fans to pay on the gate, as yesterday, after telling everyone admittance would be by ticket only for away fans. In situations such as this, ANY efforts by the away club to vet attendees are rendered utterly pointless!

We had a group of fans try to organise a "wet" coach to Woking yesterday, of course advertising this fact alerts the OB and the coach was soon cancelled before the organiser was prosecuted. Not content with that, they said they'd go by train instead, then announcing which time train they'd take... who do you think was waiting on the train? Self vetting, if you will.

Even if you can prevent certain fans getting in the ground, a lot of them aren't too bothered anyway, they've come for some action whether it be at the ground, local pubs, station etc. They don't care about seeing the game.

For any Solihull fans - is our game Saturday segregated? It's our yearly Tour of Duty and I think we'll be bringing quite a few, possibly around 700.

An excellent effort.
Indeed, credit to all for the effort. Credit also to Ricky Miller for his 99 minutes of dissent without getting booked (unlike everyone else on the pitch), a highly commendable effort.

Interesting it said in Macclesfield programme that Lincoln took 318 earlier in season on a Saturday,
Lincoln fans was slagging our Away following in trophy but we managed to take 320 on a crap Tuesday night,
Did a bit of research and both 60 miles from Macclesfield.
