Can any Alfreton or Mansfield fans tell me in which stands Mansfield were placed a few years ago when they took 2300. I know we have the tin end and the tom McRoy stand but I didn't think this would accommodate 2300 (or even more if we are allowed).

Big queues this morning for the rest of the Alfreton tickets and after being giving the extra 500 to take us to 2000 we have now been giving another 500 to take us to 2500.

As of 11am we had sold over 2200 of them!

I was on holiday last week but reserved a ticket and went down to collect it this lunchtime. Still a queue to the door and the phones constantly ringing. About 2300 sold now and expect to sell the other 200 by the end of today. Should be quite a sight 2500 away fans in a ground that only holds 3600.

I would be there if I could too but I'm working a double-time shift! Let's hope for a great win and the 'proper nawty' element behave themselves.

All 2500 tickets now sold and quite a lot of disappointed people (including a mate of mine who has just rung to tell me) turned away from the ticket office.

I was annoyed that work were sending me back to Cyprus early so I was missing this.

Now I see we are taking 2.5k, I can't explain how devastated I'm feeling.

Same. If I didn't need the money I'd be there. I reckon we would take close to our average home attendance for this one if the tickets were available. Craziness.

This is great that their is so much interest in the game and of course for the coffers but I repeat what I said earlier from our point of view I fear it will work in Grimsby advantage and make it feel like a home game for them. Anyway we should be concentrating on our Trip to Wrexham and our final home game v Welling

The last thing we want it to feel like is a fucking home game!

difference is a large away following will make a lot of noise and back the players rather than the silence or abuse when a player makes one mistake that Blundell Park is.

I booked Easter week off work 3 months ago so I could go to Alfreton thankfully, and my cousin went to get our tickets this morning, looks like if not i'd have gone after work today and been disappointed, phew!

I see the club has asked for more tickets, and awaiting a response. I doubt Alfreton will give us more?

Alfreton's home numbers suggest there won't be any more room anyway, will there?

Fantastic effort from Grimsby I have to say!

Last away game at Southport could be interesting if we're still in with a chance of the title as I see that their away end only holds 1200. I wonder if they will be as accommodating as Alfreton have been?

Given that they will in all likelihood be safe, chances are they'll be at most 1500 home fans in the stadium, leaving 4500 empty spaces. How many would you bring? They'd probably have to use stewards for segregation but the extra money (about 10k if you brought 2000) would probably mean that they'd do it. They could probably give you the whole of the side terrace.

If we're still in with a chance of winning the title then at least 2500 again I reckon.

Really cant see it. Surprised we have give you this much TBH.

Do you know which stands the extra tickets will have been allocated in and which (one probably) will stay as the home stand? I couldn't get tickets being out of town and couldn't stay on the phone all morning, Alfreton (unsurprisingly) won't sell me any, but they said it was pay on the turnstiles for home fans. I will probably go anyway with my daughter, we'll just leave the colours at home and keep quiet(ish).

Comfortable in the away end it won't be with that many people. Can you hire a double decker bus and park it up at the other end for additional away accommodation?

Easily, I can remember us taking a healthy number to Southport when we were just pushing for the play-offs on a Friday night TV game. Think it's more than 1,200 though Les? I thought we had that full open away end and part of the stand on the right and the open standing on the left?

The away end holds 1200, with the open terrace behind the goal and 300 seats. They probably gave you the side one as extra back then as they probably will this time round as well.

I think the extra tickets will go in to the Tom Mcroy Stand.

I think the Alfreton fans will be in the Main Stand and Tommy bradley Stand. Hope you manage to get some tickets but I wouldnt recommend you trying to get some tickets for the home end to be honest

Welcome to the forum by the way too.
