Big E had the NXT title for a few months after he debuted on RAW and didn't come out on the main shows with it.

I know they've done that before, but gave they ever referenced NXT on Raw or Smackdown as a basis of history for NXT alumni? Rollins and Ambrose feuded heavily in FCW and obviously came in as a team. I just think NXT has grown too much to be able to do that without it coming off as insulting to a large portion of the fans.

That Sin Cara point pretty much nails it. Do you not think NXT has grown too big to simply ignore things like that on the main shows or do you think it's fine to just keep everything that happens there separate?

a reasonable NXT this week. Itami match solid as usual. Tag team match was so so. trying to build a new fued with that Dillinger and Joseph chappy, who looks a beast.

squash with Corbin after, meh. he doesnt look scary to me in the slightest. when he comes out to his intro and looks around he looks scared shitless

solid divas match but didnt really have a point. Balor vs Kendrick was pretty good, not sure if Kendricks ankle injury was legit or not, he also screwed up the tiger suplex. the Owens commentary tbit was good if a bit predictable.

next week we have diva championship match and Sami Zayn making an appearance. they sold him being on the world tour and not on NXT

There's nowhere to go right now for Baron Corbin. He had the unbeaten run, did a decent programme with Bull Dempsey & then lost his unbeaten run in the NXT Title Tournament to Adrian Neville. Now he's back to square 1 again beating jobbers.

In fact for Baron Corbin, replace with Ryback. Exactly what happened with him too.

All caught up on NXT now and enjoyed almost all of it.

The 'PPV' was great from top to bottom. Samoa Joe finally showing up was awesome, he didn't look in great shape though in my opinion - I was kind of anticipating him looking lean to show he intends to really make an impact/a go of it in NXT/WWE. This makes me think he might not be around for long but I hope that's not the case as, when he's on form, he's fucking great to watch.

NXT Women's Championship match was great, it's exactly how the divas should be ok RAW to give them any sort of meaning. How NXT can do it in 2 hours (and usually just 1 hour remember) yet RAW can't do it in 3 is beyond me.

Finn Balor's 'demon' entrance is the best entrance since Gangrel/The Brood.

i say this every NXT PPV, but that was one of the best Womens wrestling matches I've seen.

5 mins in, I suddenly thought to myself 'why am i enjoying sasha v becky more than say nikki v tamina, or even orton v sheamus', and then i got my answer.

tell orton and sheamus to work a 30 minute match and you get 20 mins of chin locks. it's not visually entertaining, and it's telling the most basic of stories. what sasha and becky did was fantastic. they told a great story. becky obviously wants to weaken sasha's arm for the arm bar, but sasha is such a charasmatic showman of a character that she wants to destroy becky's arm and beat her at her own game. and it's not just 10 mins of one arm hold, it's various killer submission moves designed to focus on injuring the arm. it's bloody fantastic, and it's probably a better singles match than 90% of the singles matches we've seen on WWE tv this year.

the standing ovation becky got at the end, after she came into the match as a bit of a meh character, says everything about the quality of that match.

they should stick to a ppv every 'season', so say February, May, August & November. That's plenty and gives good opportunity for good feud building without over diluting the product.

I wish Samoa joe all the best in WWE but I think it may be an impossible ask for 2 reasons.

A: Joe won't really go into this as a new guy on the block wanting to develop, nor will want the 'WWE way' either the guy is a very competent wrestler who doesn't need all that, but WWE will want and demand all that and I am not sure a balance will be formed by both.....but we'll see.

B: Joe is the Kane of the Indie/TNA scene. I do not mean this in a bad way, at times Kane was superb and interesting and enjoyable to watch on TV, and Joe is exactly the same.......problem is in both cases its when used correctly. Neither really suits trying things differently or other paths and can be stale soon after, they play the silent monster well

If I was fair WWE are much much much better at solving this problem than TNA are, but Jow has had the same problems in TNA that Kane has in WWE, you push him in his suited way he's great but it only lasts a while then goes stale, but you try and twist it to make it interesting it fails, so put him back on same path and it works then goes stale etc, etc.

But the guy was apart of the probably the best match never held in WWE so he has talent, WWE know how to use that type of wrestler so here is hoping.

Oh yeah, Nation of Violence was great. When his music started in NXT I actually thought he somehow had the same music for a second (due to the similar opening) but then it all goes tits up.

Also Mase, you said he didn't look in great shape... funnily enough, I was watching NXT last night and mentioned how it looks to me as if he's lost weight
