Why can’t we just win play-off finals normally?

What a day. Fully deserved in the end. Players gave everything, fans gave everything and absolute limbs when that winner went in. Couldn’t have scripted a better day, really.

Sunderland will surely be up there challenging again next season. Ross has to go though surely, when you’ve got a £4million striker starting on the bench in L1 and you don’t go up, that’s some failure.

Back to the Championship we go for at least another season.

Do Sunderland qualify for WABLO status yet?

Very pleased for Charlton. The top three went up so can't really argue with that. They certainly bossed us in the two games we played this season.

As for Sunderland, I'm looking forward to locking horns with them again next season. Questions need to be asked of Jack Ross, certainly. Although in his defence it is difficult to build a successful team from one that's been plummeting, regardless of the money available. However, the negative way he seems to want to sit on one goal leads has ultimately backfired.

Anyway, congrats to Charlton and commiserations to Sunderland. Sunderland should, by all logic, stroll this league next season.

He really needs more than questioning. Not getting promoted is a disgrace for Sunderland IMO.

The average attendance without Sunderland was 7,695. Sunderland had over 4x the average crowd and spent money on Grigg which is larger than most of the league's entire playing budget. They're in the top 10 in England for all time average finishes in the footballing pyramid.

It's like Man Utd going down the the championship and not getting promoted and saying "in his defence its difficult to build a successful team from one that's been plummeting".

No excuses for me, Jack Ross should be embarrassed with finishing 5th in L1.
