Not sure how much good that will do us considering the dire state of the squad.

Is Solano still expected to be the replacement or any other names being mentioned early on?

Solano? More chance of us appointing a Solero than Nobby getting the job.

It'll be one of the old boys, either Lovell as caretaker, or Peter Taylor (*shudder) or Andy Hess for the millionth time.

Pretty standard procedure to have someone within the club as interim manager so it's hardly a shocker. I'd personally expect Taylor to be in for maybe up to and including the Portsmouth game in a fortnight as we play Tuesday/Saturday til then. That would give the prospective new boss a week before the Peterborough game to start getting his ideas across rather than just a couple of days.

Scally: 'it may well be that we look at a short term fix'

Fucking looking at short term fixes is what leaves us picking Scally's old mates and leaves us turning to the same old faces every time. How about we plan for the future and give a manager a decent amount of time to actually build something.

I see Jay Saunders is 5/1. Would have thought you'd go after Nicky Southall more if you were raiding the 'Stone.

Who do you want? Fans don't seem enthused by any of the potential choices.

I'd also like Powell or Adkins. Fair bit of talk of Martin Allen coming back on a firefighting mission. Fine, but no longer than the end of this season.

I don't think there's any chance MA will come back, not if the rumours about what happened when he was fired are true anyway.

Nothing happened.

Referee was atrocious.

It was a bit foggy.

That's it.
Pretty much spot on with this assessment.

Was expecting a lot more from scunny

I was hoping for a win, but not expecting one. I predicted a 0-0 before kick-off because we can defend, but cannot score. We are in the the top 6 because of our defensive play alone. I was one of the 158 Scunny fans at the game and was happy to come away with a point. I agree that the ref was atrocious, for both sides actually. We were wondering whether that "a bit foggy" was a naturally occurring mist or possibly funeral pyres coming from the Medway. We didn't play at all well in the first half, but improved in the second. Overall, a draw seemed a fair result.
