Arnautovic signs a contract extension at Stoke to end the speculation as to his future. Stoke team is looking pretty damn sick.

Totally agree, so much power up front. Can absolutely imagine them going to Europe next season.

"I want to make my position on the right - that's where I know where I am now. I've told the manager that I want to be known for playing on the right again, although I can play up front,"

"I want to know where I want to play. The manager has said I can play up front. It depends on what game it is. I know I can do a job up front as well as on the right."

-Theo Walcott, 2016.

Basically he hasn't got the bollocks to leave Arsenal for the role he wants.

Away match going fans (Not many on this forum, i know) will be pleased to know that our sponsors will be making all away tickets at St. Mary's £20 this season.

Unsurprisingly our fans aren't too happy with Virgin Media for doing this so hopefully they bottle it.

Isn't there a cap of £30 this season anyway?

There is so I can't understand why they're deciding to knock an extra £10 off for visiting fans. It doesn't really seem fair on season ticket holders imo. It would make far more sense to knock an extra £10 off for our away games.

Fernando Torres quotes from a forthcoming book about Liverpool...

On being sold by the club - "It was presented as if I was a traitor," he said. "It was not like this in the discussion(s). Liverpool could not admit they were doing something wrong with the whole team. They had to find a guilty one."

On putting in a transfer request - "Comolli told me that the new owners, they had an idea of how to spend their investment," Torres said.

"They wanted to bring in young players, to build something new. I was thinking to myself, 'This takes time to work. It takes two, three, four, maybe even 10 years.' I didn't have that time.

"I was 27 years old. I did not have time to wait. I wanted to win. Here we are five years later and they are still trying to build -- around the same position in the league as when I left."

First Klopp, now Carragher - Balotelli has been giving it to Liverpool with both barrels recently.

Carragher deserved this, he was being a nob towards Balotelli just because he was a bad player for Liverpool. You'll never walk alone, unless you're shit.

Liverpool are famous for having shit players, it's just funny how the propaganda machine becomes abusive towards those that have done nothing more than play poorly. It's particularly funny coming from Carragher.

Has the talent, doesn't perform or care though hence shite.

I'd define a shit player as one that doesn't have the talent in the first place but I can see your point - there isn't a massive distinction to be made if a player never bothers to even try and fulfill his potential.

Mario Balotelli will never really be consistent on the pitch for a long time because simply of his attitude. You can either exempt him from most of the team rules, which usually ends up with the rest of the team getting pissed off, or treat him as you'd treat any other footballer, which will result in Mario becoming unhappy. Signing him is a lose-lose really.

Well Carragher, at least he's won the league.

And scored the winning goal against England in the World Cup.

And scored twice in the European Championship Semi Finals.

Balotelli has his own demons, not at all helped by a media and country that utterly despise him, but delighted he shot back at Carragher for his cringeworthy comments. What can he do to impress you Carra? Attack someone outside a McDonalds? Beat up a DJ?

Take a seat, he as was an outrageously average player who was lucky to survive as long as he did at Liverpool (who was outrageously average most of the time he was there).

Whether or not Balotelli succeeds now is totally up to him, his career so far outstrips the overwhelming majority of professional footballers, as does his bank balance, so I don't imagine he's too bothered either way.

At least you kept Danny Ings
