Hurst said in the radio post match interview that he will treat the next game as if we are still 0-0 so will set up to win.

I'd be surprised if its not the same side though by the sounds of things Palmer was quiet again as he has been for his last few games despite getting a rest so maybe Hannah or Pittmam will replace him, and maybe Clay will replace Brown, can't see any more changes than that.

Is Gregor Robertson injured? Seems strange to keep Nsiala at right back on Sunday unless injuries mean that needs must. Take it Parslow isn't fancied there either.

Robertson won't play again unless we reach the final. Parslow by all accounts is shite but I don't think Toto is very far ahead of him as a RB.

The biggest shame about it is that we have to play our best player at LB to squeeze them in. It's not ideal but if we can get into the final, we can have our strongest 11 all being well.

For anyone who missed Arnold's two goals.... Doesn't include the Eastleigh goal though.

It was when we scored when the idiots let off 2 flares. Seeing that you were playing in blue I thought it was a bit stupid to chuck a blue flare on the pitch and they also let off a red flare which was just to the right hand side of where I was stood. We did have a bit of a problem with flares really early on in the season but since about October it's all been fine up until last night.

Apart from the two let off at ours.

I was at Woking but as far as I knew the smoke bombs were thrown from the side where YOUR fans were.

They were thrown over the stand by your fans.

Not how I remember it, They were thrown from an area where the two sets of fans were quite close together and some of our fans saw them being thrown by Woking fans.

Below one of a few quotes after the Woking game.
A special mention to the stewards yesterday who looked like they'd been drafted in from an EDL march and took so much care in searching every town fan going in (confiscating inflatables) that they missed the three smoke bombs let off by the hooligan scumbags in the Woking end.

Yeh sorry about the stewards, they were drafted in from Southampton FC. Our regular stewards had to oversee a lawn green bowls final in the village, so were not available.

That quote wasn't about your stewards, it was a quote from a fan on our forum after the Woking game regarding the smoke bombs thrown that day.

Why do you feel the need to apologise about Woking's stewards......? :ffs:

I'm sorry but after watching FGR & Eastleigh in the play offs. What have either team to offer fan wise. Both grounds small gates with plenty of spaces -- Do not deserve League status. OK made the play offs --- But hopefully both go no further.

It would be ace to see either bristol or grimsby come up. Most of league 2 fans have never heard of Eastleigh, and think forest green are some vegetarian club the middle of nowhere.

There seems to be a few bristol fans who blame us for their telegation - when in reality it was a bad season and we just happened to be the side to sent them down - ive no doubt they could come back stronger.

Grimsby - northern - so that's a bonus in a southern based league next term - never seen us win in that stand that always seems to be on the verge of collapsing - with 2 goals from nathan Arnold (don't believe he's league standard - he isn't) nor is that donkey you have as a forward on loan from us.

Whoever goes up will do fine - the side we've had this season is about midtable conference standard - how the fuck we've stayed up is beyond me - accrington vs mansfield tomorrow is massive haha.

Believe, and good luck to both in the other semis

I've got a bad feeling for both Grimsby and ourselves in the second leg. Don't even know why really, those one goal leads can be tricky for mentality and I feel we're struggling for attacking firepower a little without Ellis. Can't help but have in my mind about FGR beating us at ours earlier in the season. We'll see.

When will you and other Rovers fans learn that your gate size has nothing to do with 'deserving' league status...

Toto was solid. His one mistake came from the corner that they scored from, as he decided to notch up an own assist. Rush of blood to the head stuff, think as he rose to meet the ball among a few players he just couldn't arch his neck to put it anywhere other than across McKeown and into Odubade's path. Didn't get caught out at RB in open play all game really. Magnay is the same Magnay at LB as he is at RB it seems. To focus on a positive, Gowling plays in this setup and he's been great so far.

The best thing about Arnold's first goal is the bloke walking behind the nets in the brown coat. Doesn't look up as he is striking and still doesn't turn round when it hits the onion bag and the fans react. Totally oblivious.

Personal feelings about F£R aside at least they have a stadium, in the traditional sense with terracing/seating on all four sides and their support would be no worse in the FL than Accrington, Morecambe and D&R.
Eastleigh on the other hand have a ground on a par with some we saw back in our Evo-Stik days, which got me trying to think if their are any other sides currently in the FL with such large areas where standing against the barrierrs is allowed? I am also surprised that the FL would allow clubs to compete where only a small barrier seperates fans from the on pitch events.

I also worry for you both, especially if you fail to score early. I'd really like to see Grimsby come up, its an enjoyable awayday with great fish & chips and some proper fans. I'd happily visit Nailsworth as a tourist but see no benefit in promoting a "Cheltenham Lite" that is wandering the Cotswolds looking for a home crowd. On balance I can see the possibility of a comfortable Gas win and The Mariners grinding out a trip to Wembley without needing extra time.......but I can also see lots of scope for cocking it up.

If all goes well, I'll pop down the road and raise a pint to Wembley success, when I'll probably be in The Mariners corner. Most fellow U's are glad to see the back of any non-league connection but I find it a bit addictive - and a very different atmosphere to being with the big boys like Morecambe, Accrington, Bury and Dagenham (& Redbridge).

Agreed, apart from that one error (it was from a free-kick btw not a corner) I thought Toto had a decent game. Gowling has been a great addition too as he gives us a bit of freedom at the back to move players around when we get an injury as with Gregor.

When will you and other Rovers fans learn that your gate size has nothing to do with 'deserving' league status...

They are all dinosaurs, living in their historic world.
If crowd sizes were all that mattered, then Pompey would be top of the Championship every season.
Facts are, they were poorly run, in massive debt and paid the price for being poorly managed off the field. Just like every single ex FL club currently competing in non league football. The single fact that BR get around 8k for home games means absolutely zero and its time you all woke up & smelt the coffee. There are new footballing teams coming through the ranks, who work with different models, they don't base their whole financial status on gate receipts, because as previously stated, that only makes up 10-15% of turnover. Enjoy your big home gates, because they get you zero points per season, nor do they guarantee your financial safety.

Lots of clubs are poorly run, we were when we were in the conference - but now our chairman has cut the cloth accordingly, we have average 3,000 and can sustain football. Could Eastleigh or Forest Green sustain that on a budget that you'd get from gate receipts and sponsorship etc alone? I very much doubt it. Yes, you've got Dagenham, Morecambe and Accrington who all average 1500-2000 a game in this league, but survival is their sole aim - would that be the issue for you 2? yes - could Bristol and Grimsby go onto bigger things as they have done in the past? certainly.

Whoever goes up will deserve it, but I think fans in the football league (those that have actually heard of either of you in the first place) would be quite concerned

Of course it was! I have watched that video clip of Arnold's goals without their equaliser in between that many times I've forgotten their goal apparently! Got to say when they were awarded the free kick I got the "this is a goal" dread. I just thought Reason (?) was gonna shoot.
