As I most probably won't be able to get on my pc before the play off games, I just want to wish good luck to all 4 clubs, but to one of them in particular ;)

Come on Grimsby!!!

We had 3* chances. Arnold's goal you would class as a half-chance at best.

*Pearson headed over, should have scored
Arnold went near post, probably should have gone across keeper
Palmer hits the post when it's easier to score.
Ah yeah, I forgot about Pearson's to be fair.

Thanks Vanni.

Judging by the average view on here, and unless there are a couple of remarkable turnarounds, it will probably be the final that most neutrals want. I just hope that my team put on a good show, they certainly need to perform better than they did last Wednesday, and leave the pitch with no regrets. Regardless of the outcome it has been an excellent season and if it ends in play-off defeat that will be fine with me, we are progressing as a club on and off the pitch and there is no doubt in my mind that we can come back next season stronger and more determined to succeed.

I would echo the above sentiment, good luck to all the other three teams (marginally less to our opponents), try to enjoy your game!

Let's not beat around the bush, Brovers-Cods will be the final that *all* neutrals want.

No question Gas will go through, it's up to the Cods to keep their mentality, temperament and bottle in check in front of an expectant 8K odd.

People too sure that we're going to win. FGR beat us at our place and they know they have to beat us again. We're without our most inform striker too.

Hoping for a Mayweather-esque performance. Masterful defending, quick counter punching, but let's go one better and knock them out.

I tell you what, I'm actually not very nervous for tomorrow. Which is strange, I thought i'd be bricking it. I wasn't for the away leg either, maybe I used all my nerves up against Alfreton before the game!

Fingers crossed we'll do the job tomorrow, but it wouldn't surprise me no matter what happened.
Exactly how i've felt since we came up against Eastleigh, should be really nervous about today but i'm actually really looking forward to it and not panicking at all.
Plus my kids have never been to a game which will have such an atmosphere as this, so excited for them to experience it, bring it on!

Although had we managed to get 2 up, when Eastleigh got their goal back we would probably have settled for that, and maybe so would they, and result would have been the same, but not felt as good as actually hitting our winner later IMO.
I'm more than satisfied with how it ended up.

Apologies if I misled and hit a nerve at a difficult time by associating you with your irritating neighbours. Cheltenham are one of my favourite non-league teams already. I'd be happy for you to come straight back up (with Barrow).

Forest Gumpers (who I saw as Cheltenham Lite) are the pretenders who I understood were looking at Stroud as their next home and much as I enjoy the pubs in Nailsworth, they are inferior to Cheltenham's and a drive up the hill from their current ground.

Have I dug a deeper hole?

Not at all, my apologies for misreading.

For what it's worth I used to really like FGR and admired how they used to defy the odds to stay so high. I used to get over there regularly and even own a shirt. Vince's takeover and ownership since has soured them for me and turned them (not the fans I hasten to add) into something unlikeable.

Maybe it's because I'm a patronising knob and see them as "The Little Club on the Hill" that makes me dread the fact that they could be above us next season.

Good luck to all today and for those who are losing after the first leg just keep believing as it's far from over, looks hard to call for me, not sure how both the home sides will handle the pressure of a big crowd and the expectation of winning, Eastleigh and fgr have nothing to lose but I fancy one(maybe both) of them turning it around.

Yeah, don't know how Bristol and Grimsby will handle a big crowd and the expectation of winning. Are you for real? :fl:

Yeah. I suspect you may be about to go through what I experienced a few seasons ago - when a village team a couple of miles down the road from me went through its shit or bust phase.

I understand what memories today must bring back for you(what a fucking day) but seriously just sit back and watch four of the best sides go toe to toe.

Forest Green are so inept at playing any sort of football, haven't created a chance over the two legs yet.

Was there any point in FGR even making the playoffs? They've done precisely nothing over 2 games.

At least we'd have given it a proper go instead of hoofing it at an overweight striker.

Too easy. Have FGR managed a single attempt on goal over the entire two legs? What a waste of the chairman's money. :fl:

Clubs like these always lack the only thing money can't buy- the self belief and pride of real football clubs. :woo:
