Salford play a lot better away from home than at home. I’d make Salford favourites to get to Wembley now, and Bradford fans will be saying why can’t Wembley give us 80,000 tickets as Salford will not sell any.
Someone on our board has posted "if Salford get to Wembley, the directors will pay for both of the fans coaches".

To stand a chance tonight we somehow have to find a performance that we haven’t managed to produce since mid March.

I’d take a draw right now,but can’t see us scoring and with the defenders we have out a clean sheet would be a massive ask.

Delighted to be here. It’s reward for a superb overall season that has far exceeded my expectation and whatever happens Paul Simpson deserves huge plaudits for assembling a team of players no one else wants on peanuts wages and getting them this far. Miraculous really. A brilliant managerial performance.
Are you feeling okay pal? That seems oddly positive...
But now that we’re here I really want to win and unfortunately we have chosen the worst part of the season to be in bottom 6 form. 2 wins in 11. Turgid performance after turgid performance. Injuries, suspensions, persisting with an underperforming woefully out of form Dennis. I can’t make a case for us getting through the tie and think we’ll lose both games, this first leg by a few goals.

I’ve been to Valley parade 4 times including the 0-0 this season and still haven’t seen us score a goal. I expect that to continue tomorrow night.

Bradford City 3-0 Carlisle United

The tie all but over heading into the return leg at Brunton Park.
...oh okay nevermind.

That’s the worst team we’ve put out all season and we’ll chuck a load of money at it.

I’d suggest about five or six of the players that got on the pitch tonight would be in a our squad next season if we went up.

I hope you do it personally as I always liked the trip there with the gas and we havent played you since 2010. Used to be a bit of needle when Gannon was there too, he frickin loved us :bg:

Nothing against Carlisle, but I hope Bradford get through and win the whole shebang.

The ‘negativity’ play off tonight.

Nah we can’t win, we won’t score, we never turn up etc etc.

Maybe send the ref to Wembley instead of the clubs

At least will be goals when Holy makes his usual once a game rubbish save.

I thought Carlisle had sold all their allocation. There looks plenty of empty seats behind the goal.

Hasn’t been an indication of not being sold out in my experience. Don’t people just shift around and stand in groups with mates generally? Or do some clubs actually attempt to put football fans in correct seats at this level?

Ref giving Bradford everything so far although Garner isn’t helping himself he should of had two decisions with the off the ball incident and foul when he stretched to win the ball.

Carlisle play some nice stuff to be fair but defending for the goal was awful.

Patrick for Carlisle looks the sort of player that would really frustrate me. Just cross it or pass to someone else rather than run into a dead end.

Watchable game at least.

Playing slightly better than recently, but shit defending yet again (is Armer the most over rated player we’ve ever had?)

We’re not going to score unless it’s from a corner. Lacking confidence. Expect another 1 or 2 Bradford goals against our ropey defence to seal our fate. Badly missing Feeney and Mellish.

game is probably as expected neither side creating much although when I watch Carlisle we are not far off a good side, just missing a couple of pieces.

Goal was shocking the goalkeeper simply isn’t good enough for a top of table side the moment they are through you know it’s going in because he’s too slow to react.

Ref seems biased so far, not sure what garner got the first yellow for but it will get garner sent off because he’s not one to lower his game due to a yellow, he’s had arms all round him that half and if ref is being card happy for us they should have had couple of yellow also.

See a goal in us but I seem them scoring anytime they get about box defence and goalkeeper need a lot of work in summer plus a midfielder good at covering gaps

Edmo looking sharp since he came on. If I knew what we were going to do this season just gone with recruitment I’d have happily had him back at Vale for another year.

First time i've watched League 2 this season. Expected much more from Bradford, they've been really passive. Carlisle by far the better side. Like the look of Guy and Moxon. Bradford defending well. With all the pressure from Carlisle, except for Edmonsons miss, they've only looked threatening at the top end from set pieces.

Carlisle have been impressive up to the point of having to deliver the final ball or shot.

Tricky one now so late on do you stick or twist?

This is how we've played all season frustratingly. Defend well and sit off. In the few games where we've gone for it we've looked good but for some reason Hughes want us to sit off.
