just joined playstation nows free trial for 7 days, anyone else on this, seems like a decent thing

just about to stream Resdent Evil - Code veronica

Considered it last week Kev, but still playing F4 atm and sinking my free time into that. A few games on there interest me though, Catherine being one of them.

Yeah, have wanted it ever since it came out on PS3. Just never got round to buying it. Will have time over Xmas to enjoy the trial I think.

I've only played it during tonights trial, no way was I paying the £40 they wanted for it last year

Yeah, the price was always the sticking point for me, for what for all intents and purposes was basically an Indie game IMO. Still, gonna try it though, as I've heard nowt but great things about it.

hardly anyone has heard about it, worth a go on the trial and if you like it, you could probably pick it up for under £10 now

Alpha protocol is one of those games that is very much worth playing and if not for a couple of issues could've been huge.

Had heard of it, but not read much about it. The reviews seem very mixed ranging from 2-9/10. Will have a look though as Obsidian did a great job with F:NV and The Stick Of Truth IMO.

Catherine is weird but so enjoyable

I had Catherine on the xbox and it was a pretty good puzzler, got to one level late on though that annoyed the hell out of me as I was doing it correctly and at the right pace but for some reason I couldn't progress through it - so gave up the game!

Anyone noticed any weird anomalies in their Trophy collection? For some reason I've only got 1% on Demons Souls even though I completed it and almost finished it on NG+ and also I haven't got the trophy for completing Bayonetta even though I did (finished the game, saw the credits roll ect)

I've got some of the same. Only a couple of trophies for Last of Us and I've completed that 3 times and a couple of other games that I played on PS3 not showing properly.

Try checking your trophies in online mode on PS3? May have not synched over from offline to online

Don't see the point in the PS Trophy system. With the Xbox you at least accumulated a gamer score to compete with your mates; this one just seems completely arbitrary and kind of ad hoc.

yeah. how we used to cope in the 90s with point and clicks before youtube is beyond me

the biggest thing i found was the amount of back and forths you have to do to different scenes. also if you are hoping to 100% the game trophy make sure to change the game controls to 'tank mode'

Same could be said for achievements though.
That said there's not many games I bother going out my way to get the Platinum Trophy for, just annoying that some trophies I should have through general game progression aren't there.

Both systems are intrinsically arbitrary and pointless.

Just bought a PS4 on Amazon with The Nathan Drake Collection and The Last of Us remastered, getting it mainly for Uncharted 4 and the unannounced Last of Us sequel - so pretty much it's my Naughty Dog machine.

Any other games that I should play? Bear in mind a lot of multi plats I have already played on my Xbone or Pc.

I stupidly bought Goat Simulator thinking it might be a bit more enjoyable, I should've realised by the name it's fucking rubbish!

I bought it thinking it would be rubbish and I should've realised how much more enjoyable it was. Brilliant game. Finally, the level of goat simulation technology that the public deserves.

I think they're out today... might have been yesterday. Think it's Nom Nom Galaxy (DAFUQ?) and HellDivers on the PS4 this month. Never really looked at either, though HellDivers is supposed to be pretty great.

they are normally announced a week before they go live, just do a google search towards the end of every month and they pop up

Just played a little bit of Helldivers and it was actually a heck of a lot of fun. Probably my favourite PS Plus game since Rocket League. Though considering the fact that I've not really tried/liked anything other than Rocket League, perhaps that isn't saying much.
