So basically they are like Findus Crispy Pancakes, except you have to assemble them yourself?I don't know anyone who dislikes oatcakes. They're a bit like a savoury pancake and there are a number of Oatcake shops dotted around North Staffordshire. These shops either serve them in dozens or half dozens and you can fill and heat them up yourself or they offer them with hot fillings such as cheese or cheese and bacon. I'm telling you, you need to get these in your life - perfect for breakfast or with a fry up. I'm having some later!
You can order them from High Lane Oatcakes (search on Google) and they'll send them to you vacumn packed. Then simply add some grated cheese and perhaps some bacon, heat under a grill and enjoy! I'm telling you, you won't regret it!
The north is weird!
