Beat Notts County 2-1, well deserved apparently which is positive. Only worry is the injury to Neal!

Apparently we were winning and pretty comfortable then made nine subs, which led to us no longer being comfortable or winning.

Not according to the reports at our end it was one way traffic, three goals harshly ruled out and the lead was totally against the run of play. Very impressive performance allegedly not that many were there to see it!

One of the goals 'harshly' ruled out went in about ten seconds after the ref blew his whistle, but whatever, pre-season. :D

Finished 1-1 not a bad game for a friendly and some decent performances.

We played a mix side and lost 1-0 to Telford, a penalty after Demetriou handballed.

11 corners, 60% possession and 15 shots - 0 goals.

Let's look forward to another season of absolute boredom.

Smith is fucking terrible, not sure how he's managed to get away without retiring yet.

To be fair we played Smith as a centre back. It's a wonder you didn't score ten.

Limped off so hopefully not too bad, he went right past me though and his knee was swollen to fuck already.

He's too small.

Good, some decent stuff today, kept his head for the most part after getting shit kicked out of him.

Be a big loss. Only Notts County when your getting booted off the park in a friendly! Didn't Grant and O'Connor nearly nail one of them at one point! Strange opponent at home and not an ideal one.

O'Connor was going to have their #6

Ref was incredibly bad, fuck knows where they got him from. Probably Harplands.

Fully deserved win. Shocking tactics from Notts who seemed like their only intent was kicking us off the park. Massively backfired when we retaliated though and they spat their dummies out. Moniz is a bit of a bellend too. Constantly encroaching the playing surface and leaving his technical area, and had to be told to move back on two occasions. It's a friendly, ffs? I'm being very honest here, but Notts looked extremely poor. Your right back and one of the attacking lads (couldn't make out who it was) looked decent but besides that, you offered nothing. Your goal came from a poor bit of goalkeeping. You tested our reserve goalkeeper once in the first half (and it was matched by a tremendous save tbf), and we had two goals chalked off incorrectly for poor offside decisions. I'm sure you'll do better against lesser sides in League Two this season, and it wouldn't have been your full, settled side as you would've been experimenting with different systems and personnel. You used disgraceful tactics at Vale Park last season, but I put that down to Derry's poor, dull, one-dimensional mentality of nick a goal and shut up shop, time-waste and frustrate the opposition whilst trying to play the referee and his officials. However, the same tactics surfaced once more, and a few of our lads were constantly getting hacked down and getting nothing, yet the second one of ours dares to challenge for the ball, he's penalised? The referee was absolutely disgraceful. He didn't have a clue what he was doing. No consistency to his baffling decisions whatsoever. Some absolute shockers (mostly against us) but he even failed to spot a stonewall free-kick for Notts on the edge of our area, and instead, told the lad to get up and get on with it. Hilariously bad. I really hope this isn't the standard we're going to have to suffer again this season. Good luck for the new season anyway, but I sincerely hope, for you, that you don't play the way you did last night.

Port Vale fans in demonising opponents shocker!

Are there fans that moan more than them - even for a friendly?

We've sold out for a friendly against Liverpool, only to realise they probably aren't sending their first team as they are away in Helsinki the next day!

At least you will be able to see the players you are going to loan next year :2thumb:

Good. I chose not to go because I didn't want to be surrounded by armchair Liverpool fans.

I find it amusing picturing their faces as they try and work out where Coutinho and Firminio have got to.

6 wins out of 6 now as basically a Crewe youth team beat Kidsgrove 2-1 Saunders and Ng with the goals.

Saunders has played around 3 1/4 games so far and has 5 goals. Granted they've all been tap ins against non-league sides, but still, looking like he could become a great poacher for us in the near future.

Get a grip. It was a very fair assessment of the way it panned out. I aren't biased in the slightest. I'll admit if we're shit.
