Stockport County.
Not for me, he's got the work rate and is decent at tracking back to protect his full back but don't think he has the discipline for a more full time defensive role.
I think he'll start on the bench early doors as a "change the game" option for us to change shape.

We drew 2-2 at Spennymoor.

However much we spend, people have always got a chance againsr us when Christian Dibble is in goal.

Not so sure he denied Spendy the winner with a great save from Taylor.

Lost 3-2 to Billericay, had pretty much out first 11 playing to start with but was missing McCallum. Our old conceding from a corner returned and we looked overrun in midfield. Interesting that our game against East Thurrock this coming Tuesday has been called off due to knocks for both sides. Heard we have set up a behind closed doors friendly with Eastleigh on Saturday on our new pitch.

He does stuff like that, he's so frustrating. Can pull off good saves but he regularly and consistently has lapses in concentration and makes mistakes that invariably lead to goals. More.so than almost any other keeper we've ever had.

Scraped a 1-1 draw at Weston and Reuben Reid is now out for a while with an injury leaving us with one fit striker. Lovely stuff.

We've got a bcd friendly with Chelsea at Cobham next Sunday. As Chelsea are at home to Palace on Saturday, I guess it'll be with their odds and sods, but at least it's Chelsea's odds and sods.

Fresh off the back of Stockport fiddling the fixture list to heavily restrict our away following and give themselves an unfair advantage and Bromley giving us a pitiful allocation it's now the turn of Chesterfield to step up and announce themselves as a bunch of wetwipes by making our friendly with them all ticket and cap it at 500.

No chance I'd be heading up there for a friendly personally so I'm not overly bothered, but this is getting ridiculous now.

£10 a ticket or £10 for a stream from the comfort of your home for a pre-season friendly?

I'd expect most people to choose the second option and save their hard earnt petrol/train/beer money for the following weeks when the real stuff starts.

I'd also have thought that too, however we took 700 to Boston on Saturday so some people are obviously chomping at the bit to get back. Just seems a bit odd that you'd cap it at 500 when there's plenty of space. It's a friendly, just give people the option to wake up the day of and decide to pay on the gate.

You wouldn't have brought 500 anyway so not really an issue.
Anybody travelling those distances for a meaningless unattractive PSF probably wants their heads checking anyway

You're right they do, but we took 700 to Boston last week, and its only about an extra 15 min drive to Chesterfield.

New ground factor I suspect, you'll be here this season and been a few times before probably makes it a little less appealing! I'm off to Donny races - if you do bring 500 you'll outnumber the home fans I bet!

Our friendly with Southampton’s kids tomorrow is off because we’ve got covid probably given to us by Taunton as they had it in their squad last week, cancelled their game on Saturday, played us on Tuesday then cancelled their next game on Friday.

10 day isolation required now? I take it if this happens during the season matches will be postponed?

That goes out the window for contacts in a week or so if you’re double vaccinated so would depend how many of the squad actually got it.

Suspect clubs will have, at the very least, been strongly encouraging it.

Away fans have been banned from our final friendly at Solihull at the weekend because of 'rising Covid cases'. This is a total overreach by Solihull's local safety advisory group, and doesn't really bode well going forward. Am hoping both clubs kick off about it, to be honest. We're streaming it free on Youtube.

Think I said earlier in the thread - any league matches where this happens should be played behind closed doors.

Hopefully some of your lot go, get in the home end and take over to ward them off ever doing it again.

Been once, absolute tip of a ground , collection of temporary stands with torn canvas roofs. The whole thing feels temporary like it's been set up for a weekend of show juming or something.

SAGs are just busybodies who don't really understand science and just want to make themselves feel important. They need to listen to SAGE rather than going off their own ideas.

We have got Curzon Ashton on home this Saturday, with a free ticket being given to every season ticket holder. Which is nice.

Beat Bournemouth U-23's 4-0 last night with another couple of goals from Holman, five in a week from him. That's our last public game but I expect us to have a behind closed doors game at some point.
