Fuck me, you've got enough players for TWO teams? We aint got enuf for one.

Yep, we are keeping the non-English speakers playing the home tie and the local lads are off to Hillsborough. Wouldn't want the imports being put off England with the sights of Sheffield would we? ;)

After Doncaster pulled out of our final friendly, we have Nuneaton again tonight. Terrific.

I would have thought we would have been a bigger test than Man United's kids, surely you'll send the first team here?

FC Unloved of Moston tomorrow for us...

Injury avoidance exercise, pure and simple.

Imagine he will go stronger at home with fans paying money etc, especially after being kicked to pieces by Birmingam on Wednesday. Hard to say though we have a 31 man squad at the moment so plenty of players wanting starting places. Don't understand why we've done it this way as seems pointless a week before the season!

I wouldn't bank on it. In any case I'm still not sure what exactly our first choice team would be.

We lost 2-1 to Yeovil. Obika scored and Nathan Thompson limped off injured. At this present moment I'm very fearful this season, squad wise we are miles away from where we should be.

We've just gone 2-0 down at Orient.

Forgot is was a 1pm ko so missed the latest instalment of misery.

Did hear Williams post match say this - and I kid you not - 'We know we are vulnerable at the back against sides with big players'.

That's only the other 23 teams in the league, Luke! Beginning to think they are trying to fuck us up on purpose.

Please can you stay shit for a few more weeks? Once we've played you in August you can get a bit better.

Think you're pretty safe any time you play us.

Honestly, it's a complete shambles of a pretence at progressing the club. Power is supposed to be a football man and yet he has compounded his horrific errors in last season's recruitment.

Get the feeling the final playing asset - Obika - will be flogged, whatever ST money that may yet come in trousered and he'll do one with a nice golf course he has bought for himself from the proceeds of player sales.

Lee Martin looks to have a pretty nasty injury at the moment, stretcher on.

That would make Martin, Wagstaff, Garmston, Morris and Oshilaja who've been injured this pre-season. When it rains....

Or as is the case with Lee Martin, "every cloud..."

Drew 1-1 with Brentford. Should have beat them. Had about 10 chances in the 2nd half. Impressed by what I saw. Think we're an excellent bet for autos on that showing and, unless four or five teams show a great deal of quality next season, I'd be disappointed with anything less.

Lost 4:1 at Stevenage.

Our fans will read too much into it, but we are ridiculously short on numbers right now (and had two more withdraw today). I'd be pretty sure they went out with a safety first attitude this close to the season.

The cavalry should arrive this next week or two....

He's looked alright in pre-season by all accounts.

Having said that, he is now unlikely to play again this season, he's fractured AND broken his ankle (I wasn't aware it was possible to do both). We've also accepted a transfer bid for Luke Norris, no idea who from though.

Match abandoned at Orient due to Martin's suspected broken leg, while losing 2-0. So that's 5 players injured while losing to both the league 2 sides we played and left with only 4 fit defenders. All in all a pretty successful preseason.

A semi first team drew 1-1 at Bloomfield Road this afternoon. Missing about 5 key players, squad was changed due to the presence of a Charlton scout apparently.

Lost 4-1 to Eastleigh. Don't tend to read too much into friendlies, but results haven't been great in pre season.

Won 1 nil against Luton in an absolutely dire game in an even worse stadium. Simeon Jackson with our goal.

Drew 1-1 with RKC Waalwijk of the Dutch 2nd divison, then lost 4-3 on pens to them.
