Posh fans, what side are you bringing to us tomorrow? I've noticed you have two games.

We beat Burton 3-0 this evening. Cody McDonald scored again - that's 3 goals in two games. Here's hoping that he scores plenty in the league.

Could have easily scored 5 or 6, their (trialist) keeper was brilliant in the second half. Another good performance. Cracking turnout and atmosphere in the away end too.

We now have a problem, no more pre-season games until Peterborough away. Two games organised in Holland for next week's tour. One cancelled last week - you may have seen the reports about the local butterfly market, and now the other one has. Apparently, the local police cannot cope. One concrete reason given was that in the past our fans have let off flares. Wondered why it has taken them to the last minute to decide this? I suspect that the real reason is worries about the local fans behaviour, not ours who are not really known for this sort of shenanigans and there won't be that many.

If your team schedules in a tour to Holland next year don't expect to see a game. I feel very sorry for the fans who will lose out now.

We have a couple of Dutch players in our squad, but have been over in Austria at training camp. We went last year too. By all accounts it is excellent. A couple of games versus Austrian 3rd Division sides each resulted in 6-0 victories for us, which while not of great significance will give a bit of confidence to the 4 new boys. Sunderland and Luton before season kicks off.

Getting bummed early on by Sunderland, noticeably though Steve McClaren is sat making notes with our joint chairman, he's been linked with some role for a while now although I never really believed it.

Edit - Apparently he's a guest of Sunderland who just happens to have picked the seat next to our chairman to watch the game from.

Accrington 2-2 Oldham - Davies (pen), Duffus

Nice for Courtney Duffus to bag a goal in his first appearance after coming on at half time.

Poor first half showing lends credence to Sheridan's idea that we don't have the central midfielders capable of playing as a 2 in League One. Needs someone who can sit in front of the defence and dictate things.

Beat Stevenage 2-1.

Mark Marshall leaves in a knee brace and crutches. When asked, Robinson says 'it doesn't look good'.

Brilliant, every fucking year.

We lost 3-2 to Sunderland, dreadful first half going 3-0 down with no shape. Much improved second half, solid shape and the ball actually going were we wanted it to.

Jake Reeves ran the game, and looked a cut above most on the pitch, excited by him.

First friendly I've been to in nearly 20 years, surprising a very entertaining game.

Our club had problems organising with local Police / Stewards for our tour in Holland this Summer. We ended up playing four games, all behind closed doors.

It was all-organised, then at the last minute unorganised. I would have thought that behind doors was the logical route for us too, but so far no mention of this. What really matters is that the team gets a bit more match time. Not playing for over two weeks before our first league game is not ideal. Posh must be delighted.

Lost to AFC Bournemouth 2-1. Pitman and Chaplin looked a good partnership. Conor Chaplin equalising assisted by Pitman. Causing them a few problems with our high pressing game. Luke Mcgee looked very good in goal. Few lapses in defence punished by Premier League Side to be expected. Still not convinced with our central midfield partnership. Not sure we have replaced Doyle with a big, strong commanding central midfield player.

Halifax have put their friendly with us behind closed doors 'on police advice' and then cancelled all media attendance today too. Very strange.

Salford City tonight away, be a shadow team I'm sure. Get some minutes into the players who didn't play last weekend. Final pre season v Tranmere on Friday. Probably fold the 11 who start v Walsall on the opening day.
