Judging by ticket sales we’ll probably have more fans at Haringey than we had at Woking last season (allegedly). Obviously it’s a bigger draw

We beat Frome Town 2-1 last night. Strangely the official match report doesn't mention the 22 man brawl in the 2nd half that resulted in 2 players being sent off.

Lost 2-1 at home to Dartford, who our manager suggested had a much deeper squad than ourselves. Lacking spark in midfield and Billy Clifford’s shoes are not being filled at the moment.

Beat Hornchurch 2-1 thanks to a McCallum deadly finish, first goal was scored by trialist Adrian Clifton played for Bromley last season and didn’t score for them.

Clifton is a good all round centre forward who couldn't get into the Bromley team last season due to the form of Cheek and Hackett.

Only made sub appearances for them I think. He will score goals if he gets the service.

I think we're going to see some arrivals and a couple of last season's title winners pushed down the pecking order. Still a month to go until the big kick off so plenty of time to get things right. Kundai Benyu played again and showed glimpses of what he might be able to offer in the middle of the park. A couple of other trialists (don't know names) looked like they may be from a higher level and decent.

Maidstone are live streaming pre season friendlies at a charge of £5. Don’t know how many paid to see lots of triallists Vs Bromley. But when you’re desperate for your footballing fix... Maybe a dry run to replace revenue if capacities restricted? Though I’m not sure if league TV contracts will allow that.

We lost 2-1 to Clitheroe. Didn’t sound like an inspiring performance but that was our first friendly compared to there last. Nothing to read into at this stage. 5 trialists featured including the smallest centre back I’ve ever seen

Beat Walshaw Sports (local club in Bury boundary's) 4-1, lots of injury's and the game abandoned with 3 mins to go as our trialist keeper was carried off on a board, he ok now.
capacity 300 crowd nearly 500 watching stream. Not to shabby for a friendly.

Stones won 5-2 away at Hayes last night, goals from a trialist, Danny Parish, Charlee Hughes, Moses Emmanuel and Ross Lafayette. Sounds like all but a couple of the trialists have been released, I guess we'll find out soon whether Kundai Benyu has made the cut..

We drew 1-1 with Eastbourne Borough last night, Harry Beautyman scoring the equaliser from the penalty spot on 90 minutes after Boro scored an early opener. Played 2 different XIs in each half.

To be honest I really enjoyed the stream (I live in the wilds of Scotland so games are hard for me to get to even without crowd limits), refreshing to actually see tackles flying in ant very little playacting.
Really looking forward with new enthusiasm to this season but would love crowds back as atmosphere is sadly lacking and some NWCL teams could do the money 1000+ away fans would bring them.

Our first friendly, we had 5/6 first teamers and the rest squad/youth players. Was 3-1 up after 60 mins and looked ok considering we'd not played for 6 months and only trained as a group for 5 days.
2 goals for Smith and one for new signing Milan Butterfield.

After what youve been through im sure it'll be a breath of fresh air. I remember when Chester and Hereford started again at a low level it looks like the first few years are actually quite a lot of fun! Obviously you'd rather it hadn't happened but there is hope. Enjoy the season.

I second that lots of new grounds and lots of very friendly fans.

That is a major plus not having to watch my back as the knuckle draggers (ours as well as others) ruin a good boozy game
The beer at the match might just kill me though

I'm a bit confused about the Bury situation- are there now TWO Burys?
Which leagues are the respective clubs now playing in?
Which is the legit one?
Which one are most of the fans backing?
Is Gigg Lane an option for either cliub?
