It's always incredible how some fans overreact to losing a friendly game. Truth be told at 2-0 down today we were probably a Devante Rodney goal against us away from some of our fans following suit.

Lost 2-0 to Coventry. Only one fit senior CB and our young 19 year prospect Mnoga had a mare. Coventry made a whole host of changes in the second half, but our squad depth is shocking we only made a handful. Bishop and Piggot had some decent chances saved and our loan GK Josh Griffiths saved a penalty from Tyler Walker who still hasn't scored at FP for us or against us! Marlon Pack shouldn't be playing in league one next season. Stand out player again

2 wins out of 2 for us in pre season.

Counting that Kidsgrove youth game is pretty laughable but whatever floats your boat I guess. Literally played 4 players for 45 minutes (1 new signing making his club debut, 1 making his first start since December, 1 making his 1st start in the first team and 1 actual first teamer who we only signed in Jan). Complete youth team second half with youth trialists.

A reasonably comfortable 3-1 win at Barnet for us. Would have been a hatful if it wasn’t for our former ‘keeper Laurie Walker making about five outstanding saves/stops. Probably one of the best individual goalkeeping displays I’ve seen in decades up until the point he spilled one from a Bradley Johnson header.

We still look a little disjointed (same as last pre-season) and no-one amongst the fans has a clue what our best eleven is, but I get the feeling there’s a few teams eyeing up the five subs rule and thinking they’ll exploiting it and it doesn’t really matter who starts, it’s who can do damage at key moments. I suspect five of the seven subs will be attacking players, or game changers as they’re now called.:hb:

l3) lack creativity upfront which results in no goals

Fans will naturally be either pessimistic or optimistic with a few right additions. We'll see!
Talking to a Lincoln Fan in work today, he’s expecting Hopper to be replaced at some point.

Is Danny Mandriou likely to start any time?

Did 4 first-teamers play in the game? If so, then it counts.

My game, my rules.

We beat Northampton 2-0 yesterday.

He came in injuried, not sure how long he's out for but a lot is resting on him atm in terms of creativity.

He's out for another couple of weeks with an ankle injury picked up at Shamrock. It'd mid-season over there so he shouldn't take too much getting back up to speed.

Seems to be a few things coming out of pre season:
1) organised at the back, don't concede many
2) seem to have a lack of pace in the squad
3) lack creativity upfront which results in no goals

Fans will naturally be either pessimistic or optimistic with a few right additions. We'll see!
Yeah, that's about right. Yesterday was my first look at us and we look far more organised and compact, particularly in CM, than last season but there's a lot of work to do in the final third.

Always seems to be the way creating and finishing in the game.
Mandroiu is the big unknown as we're not entirely where he's going to play yet.
Still 3 loans to use and the manager said we're working on signings

Unfortunately, the table update is delayed as my work systems are down.

By my maths, it means MK Dons cannot be caught, but there is still relegation, automatic promotion and playoff places to be resolved.

Mid table. Settle for that.

OK, we mainly played some absolute dross, but who's counting?

In a bid to solidify our playoff sport, or even sneak in the autos (a two goal win could do it), we've arranged a behind closed doors friendly with WBA tomorrow.

Dedication to the PSF League - that's what I like to see.

What wonderful cup will we be showcasing in our rather bare trophy cabinet if we win this prestigeous league? One like this I hope...

Considering we’ve played three premier league sides and a championship side, I’m surprised we’re not bottom tbh. Especially seeing as we didn’t play any non league teams at all. Could’ve beaten West Ham on an another day as well. Arsenal and Palace were just too good for 7s frankly though. Millwall Saturday we dominated but couldn’t find the winner despite about 10 shots at the end being saved/deflected/blocked/crossbar.

All in all, a decent enough pre season with Southend tomorrow to finish off which should hopefully be a comfortable win back in front of our fans before the big opener on Saturday against Boltom

This pm we played FC Halifax and won 2-1. Pre season friendlies are for getting fitness up and finding out who your best 11 are, 2 hopes No and Bob. I think our Chairman has potentially acquired the best manager since he took over the club some 20 years ago - no plaything ! Some quality players have been brought in, coupled with an outstanding crop of academy youngsters the club should move in the right direction. Of course considering where we finished last season that's not too hard eh....
