I noted that Ipswich and Plymouth are the only teams with friendlies next Tuesday - are these likely to be first team games at all, or will I be able to announce a Champion next Monday?

Yeah ours should be a first team as tickets are being sold.

A first team also lost 4-2 at the weekend to Palace, before another first team played Wimbledon later that day.

Cracking stuff from the club*. Fair play to the lad, his family and his Doctors/Nurses. Also gives a good view of the Coventry turnout.

*I appreciate all clubs do this but it is nice to see.
Agreed...but I did have a chuckle when he was collecting autographs, in the dressing room, proudly wearing his Oxford kit and one of the players asked "Are you an Oxford fan?"

Surprised our game at Grimsby is going ahead tbh given the heat.

Bristol City are doing a double header with us and FGR this afternoon. Sounds like we will be facing the runt of the litter.
Bristol have the cheek to be charging £5 to see it too. I think I will pass

Our game with them is at 2. Will be a warm one that.

We should really be playing Exeter too today, make it a mini tournament.

We're playing StalyVegas today. No, I've absolutely no idea why some of our fans call them that.

Yes, that bit was amusing.

Watching our game at Bristol City, we don’t look great, too easy to get at defensively currently 3-0 down.

2-2 v Bristol City (XI). Josh Coley and Alex Hartridge for us.
Gave away a couple of silly goals at the end though, which I'll put down to heat or fatigue.

Lost 3-0 at home to West Brom but we matched them for most of the game and 2 of the goals came when we had a fair few of youngsters on. The main difference was Karlan Grant up top for them.

2,400 there with profits and iFollow proceeds going to Joey Beauchamp's family. 639 from West Brom which on a record breaking day for temperatures is a decent turnout.

Bit embarrassing you only put two past them :)

Lost 1-0 to Stevenage.

I didn't get chance to watch it, but didn't sound great by all accounts.

Beat Birmingham 1-0 last night, but in the process we lost a rwb we had on trial to a dislocated shoulder, our big signing in midfield may have broken his leg, and one of our forwards ended up with a broken nose.

Still, we're 10th in the PSF League table, so priorities.

Won 5-2 at Leyton Orient. Couple of encouraging goals for Joe Pigott.

We did miss a penalty too, and a terrible penalty it was from Collins.

Stoke looked poor though, I know they have some injuries but still, we played them off the park. Gibbons looked up for in not surprisingly!

We beat Stalybridge Celtic 3-2 after being 2-0 down at h/t. Kurt Willoughby scored the winner.

Looks as though we drew 0-0 at Grimsby tonight
Decent result against the champions elect, gave them a guard of honour on to the pitch.
Just an honour to play Lincolnshire's greatest side...
Seen a few comments about us taking 350 fans, give money to that lot!

Gibbons would be up for it playing the dog and duck in fairness.

Mind you against Stoke U23 in the paint pot he about killed one of their kids with a tackle... you'll grow to love him like we did, he gives everything.

Me too! Fucking shithole!
Saving my money for our home games which in the current climate is going to be a challenge, aiming to do all Saturday home games but with fuel prices as they are might be an occasional game once the prices go up again in October.

Yeah he looks very decent already, got up and down the right hand side well last night. I can see why you guy's were gutted to see him go, just hope his injury record improves.

Blackburn for us on Saturday in our last pre-season friendly. You'd expect the side to be similar to the one that'll start the season.

We got beat by Rayo Vallecano 2-0 tonight.

Wigan on Saturday before the season starts. That’ll give us more of an idea of where we’re at.
