Won 0-4 at Bristol Rovers today, Forte, Moxey, Boateng and Brown scoring the goals.

Providing there are no injuries, we'll probably line up unchanged next week versus Carlisle.

Suprised Boateng has not left, did he receive any bids this summer?

We had two games today, nominal first team lost 2-0 to Luton, Grant our loan top scorer last season scored again us and pretty strong reserve team best local Unibomd outfit Carlton Town 4-2.
That's us done , lost to all the good teams ( Derby, Leicester, Luton), beat the weak ones. First choice strike partnership never played together so I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't come out the blocks looking the part.

We had two games today, one at B.Stortford (1-0 win) and another at Newmarket (6-1). The side at Bishops was the stronger side while the side for Newmarket was mostly made up of kids with the exception of Jevani, Reggie Lambe and Ade Azeez, but all three came off at HT. We also had a game on Wednesday, winning 2-0 at Daggers.

Anyways, I'm off this site for now as I'm not comfortable with this whole 'site is unsafe' thing every time I come on here. Something to do with this site's security certificate.

Beat Bradford 1-0 today.

Ok performance, didn’t allow them to have a shot on target. I don’t even think they had a corner or put a cross in (could be wrong on that)

But the negative again is our woefully inept forward line. Richie Bennett who actually scored the winner is one of the worst footballers I’ve ever seen play at this level. He was utterly pathetic today for 90 minutes, doesn’t have a clue what to do with the ball at his feet, wins no headers against defenders shorter than him. Yates and Hope were decent on the wings though.

We won’t score many goals this season unless we sign a striker.

Damage limitation at Exeter next week. we’ll be playing for a 0-0 but if they go ahead early I think it will be 3 or 4.

Well we ended our pre season schedule with a less than ideal 3-1 defeat away at Southport.

Roll on Yeovil!

We beat Wrexham 3-2. Goals from Mills, Archibald and Williams.

Doidge played which should dampen speculation a bit.

Beat Rotherham 2-1, that’s Sheff Utd/Weds and Derby winning three drawing one now.

Wish I could take something out of that, but pre-season don’t show a sign of things to come IMO.

Just keep up the intensity and quality we’ve shown and it should hold us in good stead. Bring on Newport

Because your website appears to be totally useless and doesn't list teams, did Lloyd James play?

Yep. Has started every proper 1st team friendly and looks like he'll be an integral player for us. Us playing out from the back means a lot of play goes through him.

Lincoln beating Scunthorpe at Glanford park 1-0. Good run out against (trying to work it out on paper) a weakened Scunthorpe team.

Glad all these phoney games are nearly over. There’s going to be a few reality checks when the real stuff starts.

Yes, we can't all start well. That feeling of concern that there's no team we couldn't lose to if things don't go right is asserting itself over the " on paper we should go up" confidence of no ball kicked but squad assembled July.

Our pre season hasn’t told us much really, which isn’t helpful. We’ve had a mixed bag of results.

Pre season is normally about match fitness, testing new ideas and integrating new signings- I wouldn't read too much into pre season results

I was looking at our squads today and I was thinking how I would probably actually rather your squad to ours, it looks a lot better. You had 18 players for a start which would be nice.

Your point being you think they are contradictory?

The game today (and result) gave confidence, gave some players game time and gave next week's opposition something to think about, tried a new formation....just what was needed.

Take all teams pre season results and try and work out what that means for the coming season- they are meaningless.

See- simple as.

Never thought I'd be one of those boring bastards that works on Saturday nights. Oh well, at least the friendlies are all pretty much done and the proper stuff starts next week.

This is my last Saturday until 1st September though so it’s fell pretty well for the start of the season for me.
I hate working Saturday nights although one plus side is you can absolutely take the piss on breaks and no one gives a fuck.

We drew to Stockport yesterday in our final pre season game. We had Danny Whitaker and Michael rose in CM for us... Rhys Taylor at fault for their goal. Harry Smith looks a handful.

Your manager said you have 6 injured? That's a lot before the season has started!
