Fantastic occasion, all things considered. It was Stephen Darby’s day - but also a great opportunity to raise funds and awareness for MND. Just under 24,500 was there in attendance to support such a great cause.

As for the game, it really wasnirrelevant - but it was the tippy, tappy, non-penetrative football that you would expect from Liverpool - and any other top flight team - for Christ’s sake, don’t lose the ball. Boring.

Anyhow, their starting line-up consisted of;

Mignolet, Clyne, Lovern, Milner, The OX, Lalana, Brewster, Kent, Philips, Wilson and Larouci - strong as you’d expect. The subs didn’t make the task any easier, either; the luxury of having Origi, Gomez, Matip and Woddburn at your disposal - sound.

3-1 the finishing score line. We had 2 goals disallowed, so in my view it actually finished 3-3 - I don’t care what anyone says.

I shall look to have the table up at around 9 today - there are bound to be errors as I will be checking scores from Google again so if your friendly isn't on there then just shout up.

Here we go then - the PSF League table from Wednesday to this morning. I have probably missed games, I certainly discounted one game which was four 25 minute periods (though I now can't remember who that was). If I have missed any games then give me a shout:

We've played three friendlies. Two were on the same day but both squads were mostly first team players.

We beat Guiseley 2-0 and then Bottesford 4-0.

Beat our fierce rivals Plymouth Parkway 2-0. Lots of young lads played. Parkways ground is actually closer to my house than Home Park.
Similar with me that, Cleethorpes Town’s ground is closer to my house than Blundell Park.

But the 1FF league 2 forum pre-season league is the only trophy most clubs here have got a chance of winning this season.

We beat Barcelona 4-2 on penalties in the Champions League final in a dream that I had last night, does that count?

Their friendly against a Moroccan team was, according to their website, a training game and was three 30 min periods. I've discounted games that weren't two halves of 45 mins.

I have updated Scunthorpe's results.

I know I took the piss before but that's a fantastic picture and a quite brilliant effort from Bradford and Liverpool to raise money and awareness for a good cause.

Hat dothed.

Anybody else getting 'requested page could not be found' like I'm getting every time I try to check out Si's updated table?

Any help would be much appreciated. This is a matter of life and death and not to be taken lightly at all afaic. To hell with the tinpotters in the NL forum I say.

No of course it doesn't.

The Champions League Final isn't a pre-season friendly.

I've noticed it as well, which considering I uploaded it suprises me somewhat.

I'll try and re-upload it when back at work tomorrow.

I like Valley Parade as a stadium. Not being funny though it's always looks 'unfinished'. Have there ever been plans to fully enclose it?

Just looks a little odd.

Looks particularly uneven on that picture.

Yeah, so there’s a road running at the back of the main stand, which made extending it to the full length of the pitch quite difficult.

The plan was to agree a deal with the local council which would allow us to finish the stand. It currently holds 9,006 seats but was supposed to hold 13,500.

By the time we had stuck the upper tier on the main stand, we were relegated from the Prem and hit hard times - and currently, it isn’t financially viable, nor practical to finish either.

The stand opposite, The Midland Rosd Stand was supposed to double in size, holding 9,000; and the double decker stand to the left was supposed to be knocked down, with a stand similar to the Charlton away end was supposed to stand in its place.

All a pipe dream in reality at the time, but had we established ourselves in the Prem, Valley Parade would currently hold just over 35,000.

Cheers for the info. Had wondered if the locals kicked off mid build and scuppered the plans - always a major obstacle for us redeveloping The County Ground at the open end.

Still rather either of our 'incomplete' stadiums over something like Colchester's though.
