They drew with us last pre-season, we then hammered you in the Carabao Cup a couple of weeks later. So they actually gave us a tougher game, which technically made them the best side in Swindon at that point. ;)

I went to the cup game. We should have buried you in the first half. It summed up the season to come for us - create chances, don’t convert them.

I’d be amazed if you finished above us this coming season, though.

It would appear that James Hanson is rather good at headers.

Lost 2-1 at Nantwich Daniel Powell scoring for us. Nothing like abit of pre season optimism. Played a different team on each half, both teams a mix of 1st teamers, youngsters and trialists.

Fantastic. Scintillating. Dominant.

A scoreline to send a shudder down the spine of the League 2 community.

We beat Fulham 3-1 in a "behind doors" game. Two trialists, and a few youngsters played. Ibehre scored twice and Knibbs once. A fair chunk of the Fulham team today were first teamers so a good result.

Any Walsall fans coming to Alfreton tomorrow?
I was there. First half we looked good bar one mistake for the goal. Second half we stuck the kids out and was shocking, Alfreton more than deserve the 2-1 win. Shows how poor our squad depth is.

Love Alfreton, lovely ground every time I've been there for a friendly over the past few years.

Beat Northampton Silbey Rangers 7-0, Vadaine Oliver scored a hat-trick (including an overhead kick!) but it really wasn't that hard. Couple of young hungry trialist - including 37 year old Nathan Tyson?!?

We won 7-0 and I probably saw at most 2 of the goals. Great having a friendly 200m from your house, didn’t get in the ground til half 3, spent most of the game at the bar. Bloody love Sileby away
