Is anyone doing the PSF league table this summer?

I could try and find time at work today, but I may miss some results out.

Nortey was released by Dover at the end of last season.
Wasn't expecting him to be anywhere near a team in a higher division
It was just a squad entirely made up of trialists, and only Chris Taylor was really mentioned by Bowyer post match. In fact a Brighouse players played for us second half, I say us but considering not one player was contracted to the club it may as well been 11 blokes buying a city top from the club shop and having a kick about.

Here we go then - I've taken results from Google and two on behind closed doors games (or ones just missed on Google) that I was aware of (FGR 1-1 Cardiff and Jersey 0-5 Exeter). If I have missed anyone's then let me know.

I'll update the table next Monday morning to get the weekend games out of the way.

Hibs fans saluting their heroes on a day that will live long in the memory of Hibernian Football Club. Their wikipedia page will have gained a whole new paragraph overnight.

It is very odd how seriously Scottish fitba fans treat friendlies. I literally couldn't care less until it's a competitive match, whereas they treat friendlies (especially against English oppo) as more important than their league matches.

I love Scottish football but I find it all a bit weird and tragic.

Had a look on their forum and the match thread runs to 16 pages now. They were marching down Warwick Road banging on fences and bin-lids as they went, followed shortly afterward by the rozzers.

Pressley being an ex-Hearts player was part of it but still, half of them must have booked a day off work for this, overheard a lot of them in the pub discussing the night out ahead (go back to the hotel and get changed first).

Be a good experience for our lot, especially the kids who came on in the second half to play against opposition where the away fans are as up for it as that. Don't know how close that was to the team they plan to start their season with, but I was expecting them to be a lot sharper given how close they are to kicking a ball in anger. They started and finished the game the better side, and made a large batch of subs on the hour mark same as us, so maybe that was them bringing their first team on just as we were taking ours off.

How did Hibs' new SUPERSTAR striker get on? Hopefully he tears the SPL a new one and Hibs sell him for £5m+ next summer.

Yep, great work Si. Who is the current pre-season top scorer? We've got James Hanson on 4 already.

That's twice as many goals as the great Mansfield and he's only played 45 mins both games.

Erm, we smashed Fulham 3-1 and not the other way round Si Robin.

Good idea this, cheers

So you did - I read that one wrong.

Brimscombe and Thrupp 0-6 STFC
Swindon Supermarine 0-3 STFC

Had no idea about the B and T game - Google only had the Supermarine game

I may look into that one this evening - but given the number of errors made already, are you sure you want me to continue?

Amazingly no-one spotted the error I'd made with Exeter only having 6 points and being below Grimsby in the table....

Table updated accordingly.

Going by their squad numbers (which despite having no names were their actual squad numbers - I checked) it was pretty much their first team that started the game. I thought they looked sharp to start with, had us penned back for first 15 minutes.

Think our lack of depth told in the end. They were bringing on first teamers replacing first teamers, where as we were bringing on a bunch of 17 year olds to try and see out the game.

We need 5 first team quality signings at the very least to give ourselves a chance this season.
