The 3.5 was not last year but the previous year when we docked 12 points relegated etc etc
This included some charges paying off on parcels of land and the first effects of covid
It was your club that put out the statement that they lost that amount last season. Are you now saying that you know more than they do about what they are doing. God complex doesnt come close.

Meant to put Exeter 8th-10th which is their spiritual home, but forgot and couldn’t be arsed muck it about.
Stevenage and Crawley both seemed half decent last year so these are my curveball dark horses.
The Carlisle lot seem almost positive, so a season of struggle for them, that’ll learn em.
Bradford looked nailed on for me, Adams has done it before and will again.
The Walsall and orient fans don’t seem overly confident but they seem to have recruited well (Zak mills aside) and are steady clubs, which counts for a lot I think down here.
My lot have a billy big bollocks manager, who I really haven’t warmed to, and DOF who sounds like an even bigger billy big bollocks, expect a good start, mid season implosion, strong finish. Standard.

That was quite hard to do as really there is little to no difference in quality in the vast majority of this division. Only reason I've got Rochdale going down is you typically look at a club with stuff going on behind the scenes and that can easily derail a clubs season as many of us have found in the past. I'm sure that will get proven laughably wrong but just couldn't separate a number of clubs.

Clarke is most certainly that most of our fans never took to him either hope he does better for you than he did for us and plays better football it was hoofball up to Adebayo when we had him.

Chucking darts at a board here in all honesty:

1. Tranmere
2. Bradford
3. Walsall
4. Mansfield
5. Orient
6. Harrogate
7. Vale
8. Salford
9. Brizzle
10. FGR

Think the division is going to be incredibly even. Wouldn’t be surprised if 75 points gets a team automatic promotion.

Think it's a very difficult division to predict apart from the team at the bottom, everyone has us finishing there and I would love to argue but I fully agree.

So many tipping us to win the league - I just can’t see it.

Gladly take 3rd position, though.

It’s just a very hard league to predict. So many teams where they are all evenly matched and can make good arguments for or against so many depending on what you like. I agree with the comment above that whoever wins this it will be a lower points total and can easily see a situation the playoff race on the last couple of weekends is a mad scramble all down to 12th.

No point tipping Tranmere to win it. We havent won a league for 83 years and haven't had automatic promotion since 1989.

I won't put a table up but I think the run of the promoted teams always staying up will continue, hopefully we can steer well clear of it too.

There may be a surprise where a bigger club, initially predicted to do well may struggle badly. It's happened before.

I have a feeling that run might come to an end.

Getting promoted you need to strengthen. A lot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Hartlepool don't seem to have replaced the players they've lost with better?

Difficult one this year but here goes:

1. Mansfield Town
2. Bradford City
3. Forest Green
-----------------------
4. Tranmere Rovers
5. Bristol Rovers
6. Exeter City
7. Port Vale
-----------------------
8. Leyton Orient
9. Walsall
10.Salford City
11.Carlisle United
12.Northampton Town
13.Newport County
14.Stevenage
15.Swindon Town
16.Barrow
17.Colchester United
18.Harrogate Town
19.Oldham Athletic
20.Crawley Town
21.Rochdale
22.Sutton United
-------------------------
23.Hartlepool United
24.Scunthorpe United

Its hard to back Scunthorpe to survive as it stands as they have lost a lot of big players and dont really seem to have replaced them and look weaker than last season, Hartlepool seem to be struggling with the late finish and getting a squad in place.

Swindon would have been backed to struggle but seem to have started to turn the tide off the field and have made some half decent signings which should see them comfortable.

Mansfield finally to progress, seem to have done some good business maybe I am basing it partly on how guff we were against them twice to make them look like Brazil last season but time will tell.

Bradford is always tricky to place, they've spent 9 seasons in L2 in the last 14/15 seasons and seem to be favourites almost every time but have nearly always flattered to deceive and often don't even threaten the top 7.

FGR always seem to quietly build decent sides and make the top 3.

Tranmere is tricky, losing Vaughan is a huge blow but should still be there or thereabouts, Exeter to improve on last season and Bristol Rovers to start poorly but claw their way back.

I have us in 7th which is kind of the middle point of where most predictions have us which range generally from 4th-10th!

Rochdale to be the surprise strugglers with their off field issues.

If Micky Mellon hadn't become available they might have lost their manager as well.

You could argue we didn't strengthen either, and if anything went backwards going into last season. Fair enough we made a few improved additions in January but once we had someone competent in charge like Hartlepool have in Challinor then we were reasonably ok.

Rhys Oates is our only big loss and we’re still aiming to bring in another 5/6 players, still lacking in forwards but I feel like we’re joining the list of teams biding our time till the right one becomes available.

Challinor still being in charge is the biggest positive for us, he has almost single handedly turned us around from basket case to EFL again.

Thing is though, we spent loads over the two windows - I can't see Hartlepool doing the same, chucking everything at it in January if it's not working. And we were only saved by the fact there were a couple of basket case clubs. Scunthorpe look like they might be one, but no one else looks to be in Grimsby-like disarray.

As the Chief says our biggest asset is Challinor.
Don,t know a lot about currant managers in league 2.
But the supporters of other clubs don,t know Chan either.
Hes an absolute stickler for doing things correctly
If you don,t show up in training you don,t make the squad/bench.
Think its nailed on he will be getting a big move, eventually. shame

I must admit I listened briefly to an interview with Challinor that someone had retweeted for some reason or other after you’d lost one of your friendlies and was rather impressed with how he carried himself.

Just sounded like a leader. Don’t get me wrong I’m very happy with our DC and wouldn’t swap him for any other manager but anyone should be very comfortable with Challinor as their manager I think. He will be the difference in consolidation or not for you.

Darrell Clarke,s a good lad, Always got your monies worth out of him
When he played for us.

Your player of the season is a very long shot. I doubt Vernam will even be a regular starter for us. Impact sub at best I would say

A lot of thoughtless guesswork in the mid table part of this. Hopefully no one gets upset by it like that Port Vale fan did last year.

The reason I’ve put us surviving is because despite how terribly we ended last season, I think we’ve brought in enough quality over the summer to keep us up. If we had a bit more depth I’d possibly have us a few places higher, but I think with a few injuries we’ll become so depleted that we’ll be the temporary whipping boys until we get players back, which over the course of the season will leave us scrapping around the bottom few places.

Quite confident we’ve got enough to stay up. Anything else will be a nice bonus.

I hope we do better than 11th but when you get rid of 15 and bring a similar amount in they need time to gel so I'm expecting us to make a poor start. We have tough fixtures in August so wouldn't be surprised if we're in the bottom 6 after the first few games. Over the course of the season as they gel they should improve and get higher up the table. As always depends on injuries and wank refs which cost us alot last season.
