Agree it's very very very unlikely but nice to look up rather than down eh?

If we get 6 points off Wednesday and Charlton then I might actually start to believe we can. For what it's worth I do think Wednesday will do us next Saturday.

I have to miss it on Saturday, my mate is selfishly having a birthday meal at Fazenda in Manchester, the prick. Actually a bit gutted to miss it. Hope we get dicked.

PNE have done really well and stayed under the radar massively. Comfortably staying up without anyone really taking notice. The perfect season really for a newly promoted side.

When I say no one taking notice, I literally have no idea if they win, lose or draw. They just seem to be getting on with it.

Shame we had such a slow start, we were bottom of the league at one point. Haven't checked myself but we've supposedly only got 3pts less than Sheff Wed over the last 20 games, who are considered the team to watch at the moment.

Yeah someone put a form table of the past 20 games and we sit 5th. Grayson deserves a knighthood

To be honest for your players to perform like this in spite of that caveman Grayson's instructions would lead me to believe that they all, to a man, including your physio, should be given knighthoods.

Thick Yorkshire meathead who would be better served supervising the bouncers outside Oceana.

We are ruing the same poor start, 1 win in our first seven games, we had the same points as PNE.

I'm really worried about us now. We're so paper thin. Probably need to be injury free March through May (including Fraser, Bish and McG... all of which seems pretty unlikely) to make us favourites for that 6th spot.

Our injury list is catastrophic there is no getting away from that- but a good proportion of the blame has to be pointed at our January transfer policy.

After Saturday's win i have finally given in and started believe we will actually make the play-offs. If it weren't for our poor start we'd be troubling the top 2 at the moment. Our home form will see us in to the play-offs, i can't see us losing at home again this season really the tough teams are all away. If we can win the majority of our home games and pick up points here and there away like we have been it should be enough to see us in the top 6, which is much better than i actually expected pre-season.

I hope we win 6-0 with Doyle scoring 5, with 4 being utter worldies.
The last 2 home games I missed were Fleetwood (won 3-2 after being 2-0 down) and Chesterfield in the league (drew 3-3 after being 3-0 up) so expect a thriller.

Reading 24th in that table?

22nd in that table. Bolton and Charlton have a worse record than us. Picked up the same amount of points as Bolton (Our goal difference is better) and 1 more point than Charlton.

We were very entertaining under him. Maybe he feels the way you play is the best to get the most out of your squad? I dunno though...no expert. Just know we were bloody good (but we did have the players to do it).

We had a similar style to PNE under him and were never great to watch, but before we went into freefall he was probably the best manager I've seen us under tactically.

It's very tight up there. Boro aren't the immoveable force we all thought and Brighton are continuing to get good results. Burnley are also plugging away very nicely. Even Wednesday are only a couple of wins away from entering the fray, but they are very much outsiders. Too close to call, will be a very exciting end to the season.

Works well for us to be honest. We will come into 6th place quite late I reckon and be full of confidence. Whoever finishes third will be extremely downbeat and this will hopefully make the path to Wembley that little bit easier.

They played very well apparently. Can't complain going nearly 3 months unbeaten. The state of this league, we were going to have to lose eventually and it was always going to be a random one.

Heard some good stats regarding PNE of late.

Last 22 games we have gained 38 points. Double that to 76 points in 44 games and basically guaranteed a play off spot.

The football league show said we have played 9 games against the current top 6 and had 6 clean sheets. Impressive.

Highly unlikely we will reach the play offs this year but next year why the hell not. There isn't a team in the division I don't think we can get points off home or away.

Grayson seems to be getting better and better and this is without our main striker in Beckford who has been missing all season.

Sorry for the long post just delighted with our progress this year :)

Ps Boro please please can we sign Reach off you?

Yeah Preston have done remarkably, especially considering where they were after 10 games.

Don't see why they can't challenge next year, a strong defense seems more valuable then a strong attack in this league

That's the table on the 16th October with our last game being a 3-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

That's the table this week after our 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday. Absolutely unreal how much we've turned it around.
