Yep and I wouldn't swap him for Joe when fit.

Your fans were absolutely slating Bryan last season, and the one before that I think.

I'll stick with Steady Greggy.

We were when he played left back, not left midfield or centre midfield. Since McAllister has came in who was an excellent full back himself, Joe's game defensively has improved tenfold. He's been the best left back in all aspects in the division this season and if he performs in the same way for the remainder of the season he won't be here next August.

I've no doubt he's been good, I don't really buy into all that whoscored stats bullshit though to say which players have been better than others.

Football isn't as black and white as stat based shite like the NFL.

Yeah I agree with you but he's been outstanding, arguably the best player in a side that are fourth in the league. Teams around us - Wolves don't play with a left back, Cardiff can't decide on one, Blades don't play with a left back, George Friend hasn't been at the races think even Fabio's played there at times, and then your Cunningham is out for a few months.

Barry Douglas and his 6 assists would disagree.
See above, not a left back. A wing back in your system is effectively a winger with the amount of the game you spend on the front foot, same as us when we were in League One.

They may be benefiting from it but deservedly so IMHO. Attacking football and going for the win as opposed to sitting back should be rewarded. Under the old system, you could draw 46 games 0-0 and finish mid table which was daft.
I totally agree to be honest, although in particular Forest are on track to lose half their games and be play off challengers, which is also a bit daft.
But fair play to SU and Forest, I just believe that all things being equal they are going to start drawing some games and therefore drop back somewhat.

Fair enough, thought you played more with wing backs against us tbh. Are you a solid 4-4-2 then?

We tend to play 4-4-2, but occasionally mix things up, we recently did against Fulham.

4 points off the play offs, unbeaten in 9, shame the international break had to come now!

Also, only 2 points behind Ipswich :)

I'm the same, normally hate them. It's a shame this one Isn't a 2 month break instead.

Will have some slight optimism going into the Bolton game if we have Fisher, Davies, Woods and Earl back which has been suggested.

No Hugill and Maguire though, so need a big performance from Robinson or Mavididi.

Fucking gutted about Maguire.

It's horrible going into the break with a defeat, feel far better winning can enjoy it longer.

I spoke too soon about us being outsiders. We are just shit. 4-0 loss to someone on the same points as you is a good indication that we aren't very good and just up our game when at home to top of the league.

Coming from someone who always groaned whenever I saw him play left-back up until this season, he has really improved since last season. Obviously he could go back to being the bang average at best left-back he has been for the last couple of seasons, but at the moment he's a very good left-back. Agree with what you say about the who scored stats, never taken any notice of that personally.

What the fook has that got to do with the price of chips?!

Assume TB was gobbing off after they fluked a few results early doors?

We didn’t ‘fluke’ a few results, we’ve beaten those who are still below us in the table. We’ve beaten the ‘poor’ teams which are the ones we played early doors. Brentford have picked up but when we played them, they were poor and couldn’t buy a win.

We’re not great and it’s difficult to watch but somehow we’re still up there with a game in hand and a quartet who can’t stop scoring!

You scored something like 10 of your 11 shots on target in your first 5 games, you were never going to maintain it.

It still doesn't mean our wins were flukes, you could maybe say Millwall one was a fluke but we deserved to win the other games.

I thought you guys were insanely lucky to win against us.

I suggested at the time that your rate of scoring with every shot on target, and us having by far the worst record of getting goals from shots on target, both weren't sustainable, and that over the course of the season we'd do a lot better than you guys, and in my opinion likely overtake Ipswich and finish higher in the league, though I thought it would take a lot longer to catch up.

Ipwsichs early form being flukey isnt even a debate.

It was never going to last.

Having over 90% of shots being goals over multiple games not being flukey... Give me a fucking break.

Well, what if every shot was a tap in to an empty net from two yards out due to excellent build up play?

Then the opponents of the latter games are beyond stupid to not see an obvious style forming.
But lets move out of hypotheticals and back to reality. Ipswich being an average Championship side who had a very flukey run at the start of the season, rather than being a Barcelona-esque side facing opponents of Sunday league level every week.

I remember when Mick McCarthy said Cole Skuse was the best midfielder in the Championship. Crazy bastard.

Yeah scoring every shot on targetin August is quite flukey, but also very clinical. Ipswich are still doing well considering the budget they have, pretty awful squad as well, very surprised Garner and especially Waghorn have done as well as they have. They've improved on last season anyway when they were calling for Dingle Mick's head.
