Villa will drop out. They don't have much of a goal threat without Kodjia, and seem to be massively reliant on Adomah to get them on the scoresheet every week. I really don't know why Sky rave out that Keinan Davis kid upfront for Villa, he is shite every time I've seen him. Bare in mind his plays up top for them most weeks he's scored a colossal 2 goals this season.

Derby, Bristol City and Cardiff look like the only teams who will fight for 2nd, hopefully it will be either of the former teams.

Haha football fans make judgements so fucking quickly, it's a 46 game season, we've had a bad run, bristol city and derby have had a good one and all of a sudden they are the only ones going for 2nd and were out of it. People 3 games ago saying villa will come 2nd, can't recall if you were one but they lose 1 fucking match and all of a sudden they are shit and won't make top 6. Such ott reactions and comments in football it's ridiculous.

I've haven't predicted much of Villa all season and I stand by it. Massively overrated team that doesn't much of a goal threat to challenge for automatics. Cardiff have been up there all season and I can't see them dropping out of the race, especially with Warnock. Bristol City have been the best team to come to Molineux this season, and they are comfortably keeping up the pace. I'm just going off what I've seen first hand. At what point do you begin to predict where teams will finish? Half way is good enough to make judgement for me.

You saying only Cardiff, derby and bristol city look like going for 2nd well 5 or 6 games ago derby weren't even mentioned and bristol city weren't really either although they were higher than derby. In another 5 or 6 games villa/Leeds/us could be 3rd and 4th again. Still plenty of teams who can get 2nd, Cardiff will have a bad run but fair play to them thus far, they look very consistent.

Momentum is gone for the Blunts, said it a week or so ago, the wheels are falling off.

I'm yet to see anything that makes me think otherwise. Aston Villa have been shite for a long time now, and if it wasn't for their excellent goalkeeper who keeps them in a lot of games, they wouldn't be in the playoffs either. Leeds seem to be too hit and miss for the automatics, and Sheff Utd, I don't really think they have the quality to be challenging for the autos. Preston are looking good now some of their players are returning, but again I think they'll be looking at playoffs rather that the top 2.

I genuinely don't think we have it in us to go on a bad run, there'll be the odd game where we drop points but shouldn't but we won't go on a bad run. Even with half the squad missing we're still grinding out the results.

I absolutely think we have it in us to go on another 274 game loss streak
whilst Lee Johnson is our manager but we're getting results every week with half of our squad crocked as well.

Let Derby go up and we'll see you lot at Wembley for the best playoff final the country's seen.

Fuck off Wembley is shit, I'd rather miss out on the playoffs than have to go there again.:animatedf:

The Blades are a very good side and will be back.
As for the top 2, forget Wolves, they've gone but I would fancy anyone near Cardiff in mid March, to catch them as their run in is as tough as this league gets. If they make it, I will grit my teeth and congratulate them- ish! ;)

We’re looking pretty good.

Been here a few times before in recent years so won’t be getting carried away but Rowett’s got us heading in the right direction.

Our ability to beat the top sides, or atleast not get beat may well cost us in the end. I mean what chance have we got if we do get in the play offs if we can't beat the top sides. This Christmas period will decide what happens. After a good point at Leeds, we let ourselves down against Millwall and Derby. Can't fault the run we've had, but something ain't quite right and we really should be pushing on.

We've always been looking at playoffs tbh. I think had we not had those injuries we'd have been about 5th right now, it was just that month period where we had 11 players out. Not making excuses for it, but any team would struggle with that many out.

Yep same with us but maybe not to that extent but we don't have any proper back up options. All the midfield out yday so that was a certain loss, both right full backs out till last Friday fucked us up as well, coutts breaking his leg doesn't seem to of helped we've lost 4 and drawn 1 since. We had the best team available to us last Friday minus Coutts and we thoroughly deserved to beat bristol city let alone lose so after the next two games when that team is available again I feel as though we will start to come good again. I'm hoping so anyway.

Table really beginning to take shape now, top 3 only lost 3 games each all season and are therefore deservedly the top 3.
Still waiting for us to fall and it's bloody annoying that 7th place is on for what seems like a record 75 points but 30-35 points in 24 games should be doable for a play off spot.
Don' think we are looking at automatic but nev know when we get our players back and hopefully a play off spot all but guaranteed by that point to really go for it tactically at the end of the season.

Would love Bristol to finish 3rd with PNE in 6th. Guarantee ourselves a date at Wembley :2thumb:
Surely losing the playoff final feels worse than losing in the semis

It’s even worse when you dominate the final, and lose to the oppositions first shot at goal in the 90th minute. And then have fans chanting about Zamora for years.
