With Mansfield having Forest Green (a), Accrington (h) and Luton (a) to play in our next three fixtures, we might be clinging on to the play-off places soon.

Working from the bottom, Carlisle are slowly dropping off the pace as their fans said they would. Looking like a long shot that they make the play offs, but still got a chance. Swindon got a nice boost in Phil Brown's first game. Big game for them next week against Exeter. Exeter only pick up one point from games against Yeovil and Morecambe, not good. A win at home to Swindon would get them on track, but if they lose that, then that would raise questions about their promotion credentials.

Lincoln have recovered from a little wobble, now 3 unbeaten and back to back wins puts them back in the play offs. Looking strong in their hunt for a play off spot, got a lot of competition for it though. Coventry are also very much back on track, now 5 unbeaten and right amongst it after looking like they might slide out of contention. Mansfield have now drawn 5 straight, the automatics are slowly sliding away if they aren't careful and they could get overhauled by the chasing pack as well. Be interesting to see how they go in this last stretch. Saying that, rescuing a late point against Notts County might be the boost they need.

Wycombe and Notts County are scrapping for that last automatic spot at the moment. I wonder how costly that late Mansfield equaliser today will prove for County? Another big local derby next week for them at Chesterfield. Wycombe draw level on 66 points with a comfy win over Barnet. They've got a chance to move into 3rd and right behind Luton if they beat Crawley on Wednesday.

Luton slip further away from Accrington as their jitters continue with a draw at Newport. They have really got to be winning next week against Barnet. Accrington keep grinding their way to promotion and possibly the title. Should win next week against Yeovil, then their games against fellow promotion contenders start. Still very congested and we're still none the wiser as to who will finish where.

We shouldn't be in this thread but the fact you've put 57 twice on your table makes us look further behind than we are.

Don't complain. You can move up twice as far as anyone else with a draw.

We've got some good mid-table action coming up against Cambridge and Cheltenham, not going anywhere though unless all three teams above us fuck things up and that looks pretty unlikely with both Swindon and Lincoln playing Exeter and Morecambe (don't know why Morecambe appear on Exeter's fixture list when they played yesterday).

After that it's our turn to play both Swindon and Lincoln, but by that point chances are that either they're within catching distance but Exeter have pulled away, or they've pulled away themselves.

great summation JJ but accy won't beat yeovil this coming saturday as the fixture has been moved to the 17/04/2018 owing to yeovil players commitments in internationals
Cheers. Weirdly, a League 2 side having a game off for international commitments skipped off my radar, haha.

Great summing up JJ, do keep bothering it's getting very nervy now with teams dropping points when they really shouldn't be . Bad week for Exeter and Luton , good week for Coventry Lincoln and Wycombe.
Disappointing to concede so late for us, but Nolans interview afterwards was that of a man feeling the pressure and lashing out at the ref for making the correct decision is plain silly.

Nice little gap would have opened up between the top 4 and 5th had we held on on Saturday, but c'est la vie, we've had our share of late goals and luck this season. Most fans would have taken a draw beforehand, especially given the conditions (the worst I have seen in 25+ years). The important thing was not to lose, with Mansfield still having to win their game in hand by 4 to overhaul us. Great chance to put things right away to Chesterfield on Sunday, then it's a huge game v Wycombe at home on Good Friday.

Said we needed to be hitting the Chesterfield, Grimsby and Morecambe games well to still be sniffing and so far, so good.

Couple of tricky games with Exeter and Carlisle and they'll be even more tricky if we don't get 3 points at Morecambe.

After Exeter's win on Saturday, our game with them becomes even more crucial. Must not lose for us to stay in the play-off picture.

Very early and potentially premature but losing Flitcroft and gaining Brown could be the shot in the arm we needed. Brown has been impressive so far on and off the pitch. He maybe unlikeable but his record in the game is pretty decent and I'm reasonably hopeful we'll be good enough to get at least a play-off spot.

Yep huge for both teams, we win and we’re 6 points clear of you. Lose and it’s squeaky bum time.

Then after that we have Lincoln away so two massive games that can define our season, really.

I haven't seen too many teams this season but you were the best side I have seen at the CG earlier this season. Your midfield basically ran the show. Kayne Woollery scored a good equaliser on his debut but you looked a much better side than us, so a bit surprising that you are only 3 points above us currently.

Apologies if it has been mentioned before, but what's going on with your stadium?

Notts were very poor the day we played Exeter but you could tell they were a good side. Stockley is a class above most in this division. I'm still backing Exeter to pull themselves back into form and go for third spot

Speaking of Exeter’s ground. Not sure you lot would have gave it much thought/discussion but would there be any plans for any temp seating if you end up in the Play Offs or would that not be possible? I can’t remember the state of the stands when we played last month as I’d already made a mess of myself or is it likely to be 300/350 job lot?

Yeah, we played well that day. For Swindon, Woolery came on, scored and looked really sharp and I thought he could have a really good season; it doesn't seem like it's really worked for him?

Stockley is a class act. Amazingly some of our fans still find reason to criticise him despite the fact he averages almost a goal every 2 matches and spends the majority of games feeding off scraps. Would have loved to have seen him in our side last season where let's just say we were far more easy on the eye.

Haven't heard any talk about it but I'd say, if we make the playoffs, there's next to no chance of additional seating, which is unfortunate for whichever set of supporters would have to come to SJP. Not sure where we could even try and fit extra seats to be honest. 2 sides of the ground are being redeveloped and are completely boarded up with the touchline pretty close pitch side, with a building site behind. So 350 seats would be the lot I'd imagine.

Stadium should be finished around October/November if I remember rightly.

Fuck it, it’s in our hands still and had you said we’d have been here at the beginning of the season I’d have bitten your hand off, so enjoy the ride.

We don’t play Chesterfield until Sunday (on Sky) so we could potentially drop a least one more place come Saturday night.

Same goes for us.

We've a game in hand on Wycombe but our next 3 are FG away Accrington home and Luton away. With how we've played of late, we'll be lucky to get 2 points. (Watch us go with them all now)

Mansfield fans are preparing for the playoffs at best.

Yeah your certainly in with a chance mate. I have been looking at league 2 for different reasons as I'm sure you can be aware, John Sheridan has steadied the ship so we have a fighting chance of keeping in league 1 -and playing you lads next year ! Best of the luck in the run in

You're not out of it yet Adam. Pretty much every side up there has thought the same at some point abut managed to put a couple a few results together to put themselves back in the picture.

Pretty good day for us without kicking a ball. Need to take advantage at Chessie tomorrow now.

A costly defeat today, but you lot are still in with a shout mate, though it would've been all over if Wycombe won today but they didn't. You got to beat Accy though and hope Wycombe don't beat Notts. Don't forget you have that game in hand. Still not sure though if a draw in the Wycombe Nottts game is better for you lot than a Notts win.

edit - oops I thought you had a game in hand over both Wycombe and Notts but I was wrong. This changes things considerably so I don't know now.

Flitcroft has came and fucked our season in 4 games.

Make no bones about it, the players need a slap and a good look at themselves, but were a shadow of what we were before evans left.

Like him or loathe him, he's good at what he did, and it's proven by things like this.

No shots on target against a team like forest green, really?

To be fair, its incredibly impressive from Flitcroft to take such a talented side playing with confidence and with massive upward momentum and to kill it almost dead in just four games!!! Fantastic effort and dare I say not easy to do lol

Good win for us today, gives us a bit of a cushion with Lincoln away next followed by some supposedly easier games. Hope for a Chesterfield win tomorrow ☺
