Four home league wins on the trot. We are a totally different side at HP - I really can't fathom how the 'home advantage' plays such a large part in football.

Anyone got any explanations or link to any professional studies on the subject?

We've flip-flopped in recent weeks from dreadful home and away (especially at home) in 2018, to fantastic at home but dreadful away in the first 9 months of 2019, to now mediocre at home and fantastic away (4 goals conceded all season).

Duffo can't seem to get the formula spot on for some reason.

We're going through a bit of a bad run at the minute, so expect us to HAMMER Swindon on Saturday. Probably.

8-in-a-row coming up!

10-in-a-row for the Ginger Pele!

The sale of tissues continues to rise in Swindon!

FOR SALE:

Ink Cartridges used to colour in stars on football shirts, no longer required.

For more info please email Dale_Vince@meatismurder.co.uk

Just a little word of advice for any clubs feeling BULLISH enough to put preempted stars on their kits. DON'T DO IT. You'll just end up looking like twats and get shit for it for years. :ffs:

Hope we dont over-do it on xmas turkey this year.

I genuinely think our target should be winning the league. Swindon look good but are beatable and we are definitely capable of catching them.

We couldn't buy home wins 2-3 seasons ago, but picked up a lot of points away, very weird. Our crowds suffered big time in that period. Very interesting this year, loads of teams in with a genuine shout of top 7. We have found a bit of form hopefully just at the right time with the busy Xmas fixture list coming up

Good day for us, a 5-1 win and everybody else in the top 7 drawing.

Not been bumped in a while, figure it's time.

Plymouth and Cheltenham are the big winners, jumping into the top 7 after victories over Scunny and Oldham respectively. Swindon and Bradford draw with each, not a terrible result for either side, both those clubs feel a bit in limbo until the Doyle saga is resolved.

FGR and Colchester draw to struggling teams in Crawley and Stevenage, not good results for either side.

Good day for us as mentioned elsewhere, although I live in daily fear of losing our best players at any time now. So I can't get too optimistic.

Good time to play us though JJ. We’re going to be struggling to put out a first XI at this rate!

Yeah, as i said, we've been looking distinctly mid-table for a while now, maybe that early xG stuff claiming we shouldn't have been as high as we were wasn't nonsense after all. New lad brown in midfield definitely added something, if the striker from leamington can make the step up too maybe we can stick in and around the play-offs but that looks our limit.

I felt that the away games vs Colchester and FGR we’re going to be a good indicator of where we are, so to get 4 points was very pleasing. Taylor has us playing well and we’re very solid at the back, which will always give us a strong chance. Ajose now back fit and scored yesterday so he will be key to any success too.

Swindon will go up if they keep Doyle and Yates, plus they’ve a very strong squad throughout.

Crewe seem to be playing great stuff and if they keep their top players in January I can see them pushing top 3. Wouldn’t write off Plymouth and Bradford for top 3 either.

I thought you looked excellent beating us, not just the resilience in the circumstances but the purpose you had first half before you dropped down a bit after the goal.

Top ten seem to be breaking away, if we beat Morecambe Tuesday it will really close it up and open an 8 point gap on the top ten to 11th.

Interesting times!

7 points taken from Plymouth, Crewe and Bradford since Vale beat us 2-0. Would have taken that any day.

Another win for us without conceding and 10 unbeaten.

Still a long way to go but a 6 point lead over 4th is decent at this stage.

Huge match. Think Swindon may just edge it but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. Might have a bet on 2-2 being the result.

Morecambe (h) and Orient (a) next up for us before the cup. Really need to be taking 6 points from them two.

And played two more games than Crewe and us. But I do agree it is getting interesting. Who in the current top eight or nine will drop away in the next month?

Don't think anyone will drop away too much, mainly because most teams are so inconsistent. Everyone will drop a lot of points.

Be good if it's still this tight in April.
