Two winnable ones up next though?

On paper yeah, but Macc away is never easy and Carlisle are our bogey side. Not massively confident of winning either. If we somehow do then the table will look better again, but not sure we've got it in us. Too lightweight, too easy to score against and we can't score. Or win at home.

We have closed the gap which makes Tuesdays no show all the more frustrating!

10 points from 5 games, top 2 up next then a few of the teams in the play off picture...

Big ask but still in with a shout which keeps some interest in the season.

Taylor was very open today and said we didn’t deserve the 3 points and rode our luck at times. But, we have the luxury of having a few players who continually pop up with the goods. Unbeaten in 10 and only lost once in 17, is pretty impressive.

14 clean sheets now and if we’re to last the course our defence is going to be the main reason.

Swindon away is massive. It’s going to be a big crowd and apparently we’ve sold out of first two allocations. Getting nervous already!

Refreshing to see that honesty from an opposition manager, if that was Russell Slade or Nathan Jones in your hot seat they’d have said it was a deserved 1-0 win in a game you’d dominated.

The Devon derby towards the end of March is shaping up nicely!! If both sides carry on at this rate then Exeter may even sell their allocation!

I cant think of that yet. Two equally big games to come, Colchester at home and Vale away. Both promotion rivals.
4 points from those and I may start to believe

When Jan started I just wanted to still be in the top 3 after the Exeter game.

Do that and I reckon we’re home and hosed with our remaining games.

“Just another game and an opportunity to get three points.”
©️ Ryan Lowe. Oct. 2019

Not a big game apparently .
Argyle fans said at the time this was a mistake by Lowe. Pretty much the only thing he’s done wrong so far. Think he actually admitted after the game he shouldn’t have said this if memory serves me right.

Colchester, Vale and Swindon are our next 3 games, all form teams, if we get through this relatively unscathed it's gonna be our season !!!!!!. As for Argyle, cannot wait for the match down there. They love bottling it in front of big crowds down at Argyle !!

I guess the small mercy is that we do actually get big crowds to bottle it in front of, whereas you seem to be able to bottle it every year without having any big crowds involved.

Our next 12 games

Macc (A), Scunthorpe (A) Orient (H) Walsall (A) Oldham (H) Crawley (H) Plymouth (A) Macclesfield (H) Morecambe (A) Exeter (A) Stevenage (H) Mansfield (A).

Apart from the trips to the Devon two, this run looks very favourable after a long run of playing top or in-form teams. Really need to get at least 24 points from this run because our late March early April fixtures look absolutely brutal on paper.

You're right, we would love your catchment area, perhaps we could then wear the crown for being the biggest place in Europe not to host top flight football :p

After Exeter on 1st Feb, 12 of our last 15 games are against sides that are currently outside the top 10.

If we can't get promoted from this situation, then we're never going to go up!

Swear Salford knocked you out a few weeks ago? That was your only chance of meeting us at Wembley, us on the other hand? You don't go to Wembley after winning the league.

I thought you'd won promotion last season? In fact I am convinced you pretty much guaranteed around this time last season you were going up... and Tranmere had no chance of finishing above you? Not sure why your not posting in the L1 thread...

When will you morons understand that nothing is guaranteed until May. Year after year you set yourselves up for a colossal failure and once again you are playing the same tune! In true Kevin Keegan fashion....I would LUV IT if you messed this up (again) hehe

Fecking hell. Broken records or what - I can't blame you for incorrectly thinking that, as it's all you and the Swindon lot go on about. When you repeat nonsense enough times over and over, then you clearly start to believe it yourselves. I never guaranteed us promotion last season, I predicted (wrongly) we'd get it. I never once guaranteed it and said we are definitely going up - Look at the prediction thread from the start of the season and look how many teams you got wrong ffs. I don't chirp on about that like I'm a broken record do I, you degenerate.

Tranmere I got wrong - What's your point exactly? There must be a massive point here that you're going to enlighten me on, as it's clearly a fucking huge deal to you. Christ, flick back through your posts, you get more wrong than anyone else, it's fascinating that 7 months on you're still going on about it. It's because I don't get a lot wrong and you have to mention it in nearly every single post that you respond to me.

Mid-table mediocracy. And I'm happy to put a £50.00 bet on it with you that you don't reach the play-offs, you're shite. Winnings obviously go to charity. Hopefully if you have the balls to take us up on this offer, you'll stop mentioning every 5 minutes that I wrongly said Tranmere wouldn't go up, it's incredibly bizarre, ejaculating over someone predicting something wrong in football - Like you do every single week.

There’s a huge difference between saying ‘I don’t think you’ll get play offs this season’ and saying ‘You’re fucking shit’.

I’m sure Vale fans don’t think they’ll get to the play offs - they think they have a chance of doing so (which they do).

Time will tell whether they do or not but in the meantime nobody needs a repeat nobhead just being obnoxious for the sake of it.

Well most Vale fans including me have said mid table is fine, we are in transition after being pillaged for 3 years, although currently in promotion form over the last 5 and only lost 7 we've drawn too many over the season so why would I bet £50.00 on something I consider the most likely outcome!

We said we are in the promotion race, which currently 3 points off the top 7 we are... at no point did anyone say we would make it.

You do have to forgive dear old DL.
He does tend to get a tad over-over-over-enthusiastic at time (as we knew to our own cost before he got an ASBO on Exeweb) but I'm sure that he still feels that his heart is still in the "RIGHT" place. :pond:
As for the majority of we other Grecians - just enjoying the ride. After 112 years of (mostly) mediocrity its nice not to have been worrying about relegation battles for a few seasons now as our tiny numbers huddle in our miniscule apology for a "stadium" just dreading the bursting of the bubble.
