We have Northampton away, Tranmere away, Vale away, Salford at home and FGR at home.

Also not fancying Bradford at home right now either tbh

We’ve also got a trip to Bradford, though think they’ve left themselves too much ground to make up to force their way into the play-offs.

In terms of six pointers we have Exeter twice, Sutton (h), Salford (a), Bristol Rovers (h) and Newport (h). Quite a lot there but think I prefer it this way to be honest.

We only have 2 6-pointers left - FGR and Newport, both at home. Lovely to see all the others take points of each other, though. Really can’t call this. There’ll be some disappointed fans/clubs come May.
Can't say that I have studied it to the enth degree but we appear to have the easiest run in of all of the top 10. As you say two 6-Pointers at home and seven games against sides in the bottom 12. Loosing Louis Reed for 2 games is a massive blow but if we can get the majority of our injured players back for the last 6 or 7 then we surely have a more than even chance of the top 3. Will be desperately disappointed if we dont back the top 7 considering where we are now.

Bradford, and dare I say it, Oldham are banana skins for the top 10. Thankfully we've played them both twice

Would love it, love it as Mr Keegan might say if we got the points we needed in those two big local games but it's looking more and more of a pipe dream, isn't it? Only thing might be us having chance of doing better against teams good enough to play their own game first rather than mostly set out to stop ours.

The Newport home game for me is the hardest game we have left this season. The FGR game now potentially becomes massive, and even more so bearing in mind they have Bristol Rovers away the weekend before. Strap yourselves in!

There's only 1 automatic promotion place left for you lot to fight over, with us more or less guaranteed the title now, FGR's shoddy form surely won't last for the rest of the season and should pick up enough points to get either 2nd or 3rd, even if theyre not very good. Meaning one left for you lot to fight over. Mansfield are crap away and still have more aways than home games and have some tough games in there too. Swindon get 3rd I reckon.

Guaranteed the title? You aren't even top 3 at the minute.

Its crazy that we have barely dropped out of the top 3 in recent weeks despite our patchy form. Even more so because in reality we are just not that good. Cant really remember a promotion fight like this in recent years. How many points will get automatic promotion? Around 80?

Given our two games against them, it would genuinely baffle me if Swindon reached the autos.
But then, what do I know?

Yes, we have two games in hand. One at your place and one at home to Barrow.

Have a feeling that the last game of the season will be huge.

Have just noticed for our game at VP none other than Trevor Kettle has been appointed the ref for it. That should help the evening pass by controversy free...

Memory of a 6-0 home defeat to you guys a few years back is still at the back of my brain. A win for either team would be an absolutely huge result.

I still remember 'that' play off semi final which was my worst night as a gashead. I've had a dislike for Northampton ever since, although I enjoyed going to the County Ground before that.
Im looking forward to Saturday but we are open against set pieces, its just that not many teams capitalise on it, and our keeper is magic.

I remember a 5 - 4 win for us at your place many years a go. Both Ray Mabbutt & Frank Large hit hatricks .

Injuries are part and parcel of football, however having said that we were at bare bones for our away game with Exeter and not much better for the home game. Exeter are the best side we have played this year based on the away game but to say you will be baffled should we make the autos is churlish

Tranmere are the best side I’ve watched us play against this season.

Hoping for a new manager bounce for Steve Evans at Stevenage (there’s a fat joke in there about him always bouncing but someone else can do it)

Mansfield and then Exeter up next for Stevenage
