Out of curiosity has Taylor added something different to the squad this year? With you guys being so close for so many years I was wondering if there is something different to this squad as opposed to others.

We have a bit more belief in ourselves this year and don't seem to ever give up.

We seem to be quite strong defensively this year as well and grind out a lot of results even when we aren't playing particularly well. We are more "shithousey" than we have been in previous years, which is probably needed at this level sadly.

He seems to have a knack of picking out players at clubs who have had poor seasons - Dieng at Southend, Brown at Colchester, and others who have not been fancied at higher level clubs - Nombe at MK, Stubbs at Fleetwood.
Add in the usual progression on the academy players and we are doing OK, so far.
We have been hurt too many times to settle for the play offs, fourth would be a huge disappointment.
So I'm not counting any chickens. Every game is now huge and no one is going to lie down against us.

I think there’s a huge chance for both us and yourselves to string some results together and overhaul Tranmere.

Mansfield’s next 5 on paper all look difficult however if they can pinch 3 or 4 wins suddenly they’re through that tough run and flying.

Our next 4 are Colchester, Scunthorpe, Rochdale and Walsall and I think if we’re going to compete for the autos it has to be 3 wins minimum from them.

Was Stubbs not fancied at Fleetwood or did he just leave because of the long term injury he had?

Every club, FGR apart, has/will have a bad spell. Tranmere looked well set a week or so ago, now they’ve lost 2 in a row. We’re all in the basement for a reason - we’re inconsistent and, generally, bang average.
