I rather fancy Barnet to get the job done tomorrow. Richly deserved it will be as well, I've never seen a side at the top take so much unwarranted flak.

Rovers are a shade above everyone else in the play-offs.

I hope your right crazyimp. It's never straight-forward with Barnet unfortunately and Gateshead will want to impress on the BT cameras. We're not a great side by any strecth but we have players who battle (except when we play Lincoln) and striker who is a class above at this level.

Can you explain why the Imps haven't been able to push on this year? You were very impressive at the hive earlier on in the season, that Jon Nolan seemed to be a class act.

Sorry Barnet but I hope Rovers do it. That way I can have called the last 2 League Champions correctly and more importantly, Rovers would hammer us should we meet them in the play offs.

I struggle to think why we would take any flak, I think the club conducts itself well.

We will win on Saturday it's just the manner in which we will do it scares me.

Our games against you were a little bizarre - it was plain to see that you were a good side offensively, the build-up play was impressive...the finishing just wasn't there, and in the end we had enough to deal it and gain six points. Akinde had two off-days. The 4-1 in particular was a very ruthless performance, no way did we deserve to lead by two at half-time.

In terms of us, we always started well under Simpson and then went on a ridiculously poor run soon after that would cost us a challenge - he got sacked after the fans got tired of it, then we appointed someone who tactically just doesn't have a clue (he's also on our board of directors), and our season has fizzled into nothing after a string of soulless performances. I don't hold out much hope for us going forward.

Nolan is very hot and cold - sometimes too good for the division, sometimes you don't even realise he's there. Remain to be convinced by him personally, I'm not as big a fan of him as certain others on here are.

Nerves have just hit.

You aren't alone.

I haven't been this nervous about a football game for years. I admit that it is a totally different feeling to games at Grays and Tamworth, on the last day of the season a few years back, when a wrong set of results could have seen us drop out of the league. I never expected to be in a position where we might be in with a shout of leaving the division in the opposite direction, but that is the joy of football, sometimes it surprises you!

It doesn't matter what the FA or clubs say or do, they'll still be pitch invasions on the last day of the season at most clubs. The only way to stop it is to put fences up again, which isn't necessarily the safest option.

Whoever draws Rovers in the play offs is going to have fun if they knock them out at The Mem, definitely potential for another Mansfield in that one.

I don't think we are due a recreation of mansfield this season (I bloody hope not, disgusting scenes.) that was truly the lowest ebb of the clubs history. Think 5/6/7 terrible years added to morons who don't know any better and the odd day tripper fans happy to cause trouble regardless.

I do have a slight worry about some of the fans who will use the 5 kick off to drink themselves stupid but I can't see anything being as bad as last year.

I wasn't at the home game, but at The Hive, you're probably doing a dis-service to Nat Brown who did a superb job on Akinde.

Not sure too many on here are big fans as such. In two seasons now, Nolan's been fantastic for the first 3 months and faded away. I'd not know where to play him if I was the manager. He can't 'sit' because he's not defensively minded enough and he can't play too far forward because he likes to be facing the play. He's one of the more frustrating players for me, because he's got something about him but he just seems to play within himself most of the season.

Good luck to all teams fighting for something today, no preference between Bristol Rovers or Barnet either so will be watching as a neutral.

I hate Rovers and want them to fail as much as any city fan but if they do it tonight, Bristol will have won three trophies this year, making us the most successful footballing city in europe this year. :D

Bad enough the moneybags like Crawley and Fleetwood can't wait their turn but now Barnet making a mockery of the queuing system we had down here. Brizzle need to realise they've got time to serve down here, we've done ours, it's our turn. Order must be restored.

Urban still thinks Barnet will bottle it.

To be fair to Urban they weren't far of from Bottling it, they were 9 points clear at the start of 2015 (can't remember if they were ever more than that), been top of the league pretty much all season and they had to win the final game of the season to finish 1st.

Well done Barnet, even if you made it harder for yourselves than it needed to be.

Unlucky Rovers, just about any other season you'd have been promoted, but I believe you can get back up at the first attempt after a great season.

Congratulations to the Barnet boys on this forum, we've had our banter but you've been top of the table all season so as far as I'm concerned, you deserved to win the league. Well done and I hope we join you via the playoffs.

Congratulations to Barnet, you may be called tinpot back in the league but to return in two years is something that took bigger clubs a lot longer!!

Lol Urban.

Unlucky Rovers, hope you do it in the play offs as you're a good day out. Three times conference winners so clearly too good for non league.......

In fact, I'd also quite like to get Barnet fans' thoughts in general on finishing 15th after a desperately poor pre-season.

Congratulations Barnet, to have held top spot for so long is an impressive feat! Best of luck for next year and best wishes to the fans on here.

As for us, don't think we could have tried much harder. FGR will see a vastly different side to the one that played them earlier in the season, and I don't see why we can't go and do it!

Surprisingly bitter! Understandably so I imagine, beating the champions twice and still finishing in the bottom half :bye:

What would you like me to explain? I'd like to think I have more of a life than to attention seek on a football forum. I certainly do at the moment anyway.

BEES ARE GOING UP

Apart from CrazilyBitterImp there, thanks everyone. I'm a pessimistic bloke at times, but I'm a massive Barnet fan and quite frankly know that we never do things the easy way, as some of you seem to be understanding now. I think it's only natural to be worried when your team slips away a 10 point lead. I didn't want to tempt fate too much because look what happened when we came down, celebrations at Underhill then that loss at Northampton. Gutting.

Anyway, thanks for the kind comments. I've enjoyed it in here much more than the L2 forum. Best of luck for the playoffs and those of you here next season. Hopefully we'll see some of you soon (in L2 that is!)
