Here's to the next five years in the football league fighting and surviving relegation until Hyde send us down. Yea that's right. Hyde. In the football league.

Why would I be bitter? I posted numerous times yesterday that I hoped you would complete the job, and you did, congratulations.

I think everyone is in unanimous agreement that some of your posts were ridiculous, however. I feel many of your own set of posters would agree if I'm being honest.

Never mind sunshine, have an alcopop or two.

Swings and roundabouts. I was correct about us blowing the lead when we had it, I was correct about us making it difficult. Had we lost today I would've been correct about us bottling it altogether and you wouldn't be making these points. But thankfully I was wrong on that count and we're on and out of the division before Lincoln can say 'top half'.

I'll very much enjoy my Bacardi Breezer now thank you. Who knows, a few more of these and I might start on the shandies! :bdick:

The moral of the season is.... You let Barnet go top and you ain't going to claw it back.... Just ask carlisle fans.

Fantastic season, the best team with most wins and goals scored.

Showed they had massive bollocks in the last month and especially today when Gateshead came at us.

Best of luck to all in the playoffs
Wish we could have 5,000 every week, great support and atmosphere

Well done to Barnet. Just goes to show what happens when you have a decent manager who knows the league at this level. After our 1-1 draw with them at home I thought they were the best side we'd seen, a Cambridge 2013-14 type. I was disappointed with them after their narrow 2-1 win in which we had ten players for the majority of but those are the games that win you the league.

They'll be no net tugging next season (FA Cup aside) from us so until we meet again, good luck.

Just a question, have Barnet got permission from their council to play Football League matches at the Hive yet?

I thought I read somewhere they couldn't play FL games at the Hive.

Let's just say that I think it's a formality that should be resolved soon.

Congrats Barnet, I'm incredibly jealous! Getting rid of Bristol Rovers would be nice as well.

I'm quite humbled by the graciousness shown by Rovers fans when you consider how bitchy it got on this forum at times. Was half expecting WW3 to have broken out when I logged on.

What a season. I was convinced the wheels had come off after the Grimsby and FGR home losses but we managed to pull through with a huge helping hand last week from FC Douvres.

I can't bloody wait for these play offs now. Going to grab a massive bag of popcorn and watch the drama unfold. Good luck to all taking part.

Thanks for all the kind comments. This season has been brilliant for us, out of the blocks at 100mph to build a good lead, then stuttering at about the two thirds mark, and then coming up the final straight continually having to look over our shoulders at the pack snapping at our heals. I can now relax until next seasons fixtures come out.
Hard luck Rovers, I'm glad that our home match with you was so early in the season, otherwise the outcome may well have been different.
Finally special thanks to Ladbrokes whose generous odds at the beginning of the season have paid for all my football related expenses, including a proportion of my matchday refreshments, for the season.

Well done, Barnet. Not sure I'll miss The Hive like Underhill but Barnet was always the first game I looked for on the calendar.

I like how Urban's completely swung in his mood now. He's been like Wrexham's version of Padge all season!

We'll get relegated next season mate. MA will leave along with all our squad and we'll be winless after 12 games again.

Of course. He's repaid the club for 2011 but I have absolutely 0 faith in him to show any kind of sustained commitment (not even loyalty, just commitment). Done a great job this season, mind.

Congratulations Barnet. Fully deserved.

Oh how many of you want to thank us for the difference in the end? Big Jon Akinde.

It was our pleasure just a damn pity we couldnt replace his goals ourselves. Was one of the many factors in our demotion

Likewise, really looking forward to watching the play offs. I want Bristol Rovers to win but have a feeling that it'll be Grimsby.

Thanks for all the kind messages especially by the Bristol Rovers fans - very gracious.

It has been in our hands since August (like our previous Championship) and I am proud of how we picked it up again in the last month or 2 after our blip.

CHAMPIONES!

Barnet have been the best team and that is why they finished top. But we gave them a great run for their money.Hopefully we can now proceed through the playoffs. As regards our ground size I,m sure if it was bigger we would easily have attracted 15/16000 yesterday maybe more. Spare a thought for the Alfreton faithful who really supported their team throughout the match. At least they did,nt give up.

First post since yesterday and I would like to join in congratulating Barnet. I really thought you guys were going to experience a fall of epic proportions a couple of months back but you rescued the situation and proved that bit too difficult to overtake once and for all. I will look back at a few games and rue the fact we didn't win when we should have, but you're ruthlessness against the poorer teams won through and you deserved the title. Well done.

Despite being disappointed, I am proud of how we have adapted and performed this season. There is pride back in the Gas shirt for the first time in years and we have a team with quality and a good work ethic. The way we hammered Alfreton (sorry to DSL and their fans for their relegation, by the way) shows we haven't given up after missing top spot and I am pretty confident heading into the play-offs. FGR will be tough opponents and I am expecting two close games, but there is nothing for us to fear and I hope we put in the type of performances that do our season justice.

Facebook is the last place I'd go to to talk about football (although I did put up a couple of status updates about yesterday).

Some Bristol rovers fans are far from innocent in all this with their one man and his dog jibes at our crowds and some pretty bad grace on twitter to our winning the title.
I'm sure 99% of both fan bases have no ill will towards each other while the others have let tribal instincts get the better of them. The game at the mem two years ago was a fantastic occasion and this season has been good natured banter and a decent title race for the most part.
I wish Bristol Rovers all the best, despite not winning there recently I still enjoy the visit.
